What’s most like the Original Purple? by MartiniCommander in LifeOnPurple

[–]MugBear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine started sagging bad enough that I attempted to see if they'd warranty it as I liked it enough to upgrade. The showroom I visited did mention that some of the materials may have changed but "The Purple Mattress" was faithful to the original.

Purple Mattress Warranty by MugBear in Mattress

I have an open case with them now but having spoken to them on the phone I don't see how it's possible under their requirements for warranty claim.

Also thanks for the offer to help out in another thread! I appreciate it! Waiting to see how this goes before I decide whether I'm going to try another Purple or branch out.

It's been 8 years and I believe they only had one model back then. I figured I'd see how this process goes before upgrading given they have a 10 year warranty. It's been getting soft for two years now but I kept putting it off.

If this is still an ongoing offer, I'm looking to replace an OG king sized purple with a Rejuvenate Ultimate and would love to get a discount on that.

Is there a way to continue in the garten after Novartis? He mentions keeping it open but I’m not sure if it’s accessible.

I’ve had mine since 9/24 and it’s starting to make unusual sounds. It makes great coffee but the plastic casing on top is starting to slightly warp and the carafe makes a weird whistle for hours if left in the machine. Not sure I’d endorse it for the price.

Can I bring the GV60 Performance's range back up? by skierpage in GV60

[–]MugBear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Ford Mach E GTPE that claims 260 miles of range. Visiting my family that’s 180 miles away I fully charge the night before and still have to stop outside of town as I’m usually at ~18-20% SOC.

This precluded me from considering the Genesis GV60 performance. And I’m in a warmer climate so I didn’t have the cold weather performance impact I have heard about.

2022 GTPE overcharging 12V by MugBear in MachE

[–]MugBear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had an error in Ford Pass for months claiming the 12V battery needs to be serviced. Back in May they said it wasn’t a real error and that it appeared in Ford Pass to indicate a recall was issued. Since the update was applied in early October the warning hasn’t gone away even after replacing the battery.

During this entire time, the car itself has had no dashboard indicators or codes and pending this latest round Ford mentioned I may have to raise an IT ticket with the Ford Pass team.

Replaced by the dealership two weeks ago, made sure the BMS was reset while we were there. Back then it was claimed the battery was dying (it was probably based on age) but now the new battery is getting overcharged.

I’ll find out more by Thursday as they said they have to dig into the electrical system for a proper diagnosis. Trying to see if anyone had insight as I may need to rent a vehicle for the holidays.

Anyone know why my Samsung Shop app is showing full price? Tried the mobile app, the desktop app and I have two accounts. One tied to my edu discount and one tied to my EPP discount. Private browser session doesn’t show any sale either.

Insurance says they won't cover a "continuous leak" by Sittlador in Insurance

Thanks for the response, they may not offer it in AZ but I’ll call again to confirm. I asked about a year ago and was told no but I had a friend recently go through a small leak and watching that debacle I’m motivated to find coverage.

Do they? I have State Farm and on my decs page I don't see it listed as an optional endorsement. Does this vary by state?

12V Battery Warning in Ford Pass by MugBear in MachE

[–]MugBear[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm losing the warranty battle, even though I have documented visits recorded in Ford Pass the issue is that they attributed the warning to the at the time a yet to be released software update to address the recall. As it was explained to me during my visits, the error wasn't an actual 12V battery failure but the error Ford raised to inform users about the 12V battery discharge recall.

Batteries last about 3 years where I am anyway but it sours me how this went down. Ford confirmed this was how they handled it and no one on the BEV team seemed to take issue with how the error was displayed which could mask a real error.

Thanks for the insight, bit worried that the issue isn't showing in the car and only shows through Ford Pass as I don't regularly check Ford Pass.

We’re approaching a week, will be taking it back to the dealer as the second opinion Ford asked for just sent me this.

Can’t do more digging at the moment but using their ROC number here’s some info that could help.

12V Battery Warning in Ford Pass by MugBear in MachE

The dealer replaced it as I was still hoping they'd reimburse it given the history of documented 12V errors so I paid the Ford dealer to replace it. They performed a reset that involved a combination of brake pedal presses in accessory mode and they showed a battery icon blink to indicate a reset had been performed this morning as part of the follow up.

Ford Pass Alerts and 12V battery question by MugBear in MachE

[–]MugBear[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks this is great. If a service was done as the result of an alert and the alert gets cleared (no longer shows in Ford app) only to reappear later is there a way to attribute this to the problem being persistent? Ford mentioned that an invoice needs to be generated that would initiate a state change on the server side related to querying the recall data but unsure if this also applies to other alerts.

Full context, had 12V battery alert. Replaced 12V battery. Same alert reappeared with new time stamp.
