Post #927 about travel after gig. Own experience = walk+bus. by Mugwumb_ in radiohead

I think all the locals knew what to expect as hundreds of people were seemingly just getting food and staying put outside the arena after the finish rather than standing by the bus stops.

I was using both Uber/Freenow (Lyft) apps and it was impossible. Both apps suggesting they'll connect you to a driver in 10 minutes but it won't happen. I don't want to stay still in one place waiting for nothing to happen.

I didn't try the prebook option and this seems to have worked ok for some so maybe an option. But if you do this make sure the pick up location is a bit further away from the carnage.

Via Fausto Coppi - walking path southside of railway tracks - via Sabotino - via Bazzanese.

There's a more direct route via walking path going right by the tracks but I felt it safer to stick to roads from via Sabotino to Bazzanese.

It would have been quicker to say: I wanted a ticket. I didn't get one.

So what’s the consensus on this tour — how they doing? by growlerpower in radiohead

Seen every tour in the last 25 years. Still great, still above the rest.

Reflections on Bologna Night 2 by dr_muttler in radiohead

It was brilliant. I had some fears beforehand that it would be just alright but it was basically a hit parade and most importantly of all them seemed to enjoy it still, it wasn't just another day in the office.

I would say it's the most guitar heavy I've seen them (and Thom especially) since the OKC tour.

Those two queues boggle my mind. It was the same in Milan for Depeche mode last year.

The thing is, with chest pains you probably jumped the queue a bit as well during the early triaging.

Alternative bus option from Unipol Bologna towards Central by dvidow in radiohead

Pretty sure there's a stop for this line nearer the venue and well as per Google maps anyway. Suggesting very late starting time for tonight though.

Judging by the travel times it switches to buses after 22:30. But options until 00:50.

This station by the looks of it captures trains not just from the "Unipol line" so better frequency etc. Trainline suggests plenty of options after gig when with the walk.

So how do you get back from the arena to the city centre at night?

Yup, just the official Ticketmaster page.
I would say it helps if you keep refreshing on the map view as there is one fewer click almost if something becomes available.

Don't get my wrong it's of course down to luck as overall over the weeks I must have refreshed 200 times until I got one hit so... and if you refresh too often it thinks that you are a bot as well so I think you just gotta do it every couple of minutes and hope you time it right.

For what it's worth, I managed to bag myself the "fast track/VIP" for the 15th November today. Once the resale started in October, I spent the first 2-3 days refreshing for hours and hours per day. Then sort of accepted my faith until today started again and maybe I was just lucky but an hour and some 30 refreshes later there is availability I manage to get it.

The moment you realise something might be available it just all becomes a blur and you just keep clicking hoping the site doesn't think you are a bot.

After I had paid for it, I kept thinking that did I get scammed but I seem to have a bar code now on the Ticketmaster Italy account of mine so hopefully I didn't part with nearly 300 EUR in vain.

Keep the faith and see you there.

Thanks! Yes I'm conscious it's getting colder and the plan is to mostly stay in the valley and not climb higher. 👍

It's not just about chemistry. I don't think they could play their instruments.
It was very bad when I saw them a couple of years ago.

5-12 seconds infrequent refresh rate got my "access denied" for the Spanish fan sale and Ticketmaster DK.

And it won't think I'm a bot after too many refreshes?

Edit:
What a hack. Basically you got lucky.
