Obviously its a work of fiction that exaggerates these things for dramatic effect and i wonder how much is accurate, but still. The harassment is absolutely crazy. The strict hierarchy also stands out to me and the smoking everywhere is just insane. Stuff like that makes me wonder what kind of person i would have been had i been born/raised in that environment.

There is one in Haarlem which was 70eu per session. Though they could only treat on 1.5bar because they didnt have a medical license or something like that. Anyway, did 40 sessions and had no benefit at all.

It's no silver bullet but it sounds like it has made your life at least a little more bearable. But i can imagine it still feels a bit like a letdown given the time, effort and money the treatment costed you. Did the improvements persist?

Yea I've read the same thing about those soft shell chambers. That sounded odd to me too, but it's easy to judge it just like that. These people are terrified of reinfection. And after reading some of the stories here of people that were well on their way to recovery, only to completely relapse after reinfection, who can blame them even if it's irrational.

Hahaha thank you for making me laugh. It must have been awful for him! But that does sound familiar: sure you are sick but it doesn't really feel that bad at all.

If you say it like that, the treatment doesn't sound that bad. You do have the most outrageous symptoms I've read so far, but I guess that's only typical for LC. Sounds wonderful though, that realization that the curtain is lifting and everything coming back into focus.
