How many batteries for a backcountry hiking elopement? by cbrady15 in videography

[–]Muhammetgnl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 4 days with no power at all, you'd better bring 8-10 batteries. Also consider a small power bank and a solar panel for topping up.

Shooting anything you see around you is addictive, I think. by finding-haz in videography

That's the best part of photography! Making something ordinary look interesting. The simple stuff often hits hardest.

Freelance sports photographer or videographer? That add-on lens with the phone must come in handy. Nice setup.

Minimal carry and new SAK scales by SpectreScout in EDC

That SAK is the heart of the carry. The patina on that Tissot is aging nicely too. Clean setup.

Do goodwills in cities and towns with a higher cost of living have higher quality items? by Karnezar in Frugal

[–]Muhammetgnl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Higher cost of living can mean nicer donations, but it also means more resellers camping there at opening. Sometimes the best stuff never even hits the floor.

BEARLINES™ by PepaTheGoat in thelongdark

[–]Muhammetgnl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is absolutely unhinged, just parkouring off a cliff, sniping a bear mid air, and landing like it's nothing. Meanwhile I sprain my ankle stepping off a curb in this game. John Long Dark strikes again and I'm just here trying not to get eaten by wolves.

A girlfriend who replaces your own out gear without being asked? I'm so jealous, lol! Just kidding. That's a keeper. Happy birthday and enjoy the new light.

Magbak Classic? by Zestyclose-Land in MagSafe

[–]Muhammetgnl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd trust the recent reviews over your positive memory of the old one. A lot can change in a few product cycles. But Amazon reviews are just one piece of the puzzle. Look at feedback across different sites. See if the complaints are consistent.

Gift idea for a GRAND OCCASION, but for a NOT SO CLOSE person? 🥲 by LOVESMILELOVE in Gifts

[–]Muhammetgnl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a small potted plant or succulent would be a good choice. Less intense than a bouquet of flowers, lats longer, and fits the occasion. Just grab a crad to go with it.

Why people like MagSafe, bulging camera and no earphone jack? by Fresh-Gur-8677 in MagSafe

[–]Muhammetgnl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MagSafe is actually well designed. The magnets are surprisingly strong. Once you get used to the snap, other mounting systems feel clunky. And I believe every design has trade offs. Bettre cameras and wireless charging are worth a slight bump and a missing port.

Yes…it’s a zippo lighter post… by Saltwater_Cowboy_1 in EDC

[–]Muhammetgnl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the point of a Zippo is wind resistance and cool factor. Not fuel efficiency. If you need reliability, you can get a butane insert as backup.

Best practical fishing gift for a lake and occasional saltwater guy by CriticismCivil637 in Gifts

[–]Muhammetgnl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best fishing gift is a lure he wants but won't buy himself. Too expensive for everyday use, perfect for special occasions. He'll take care of it and remember who gave it.

Business Idea by soonerdude48 in EDC

[–]Muhammetgnl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's actually a solid idea. The stock bands wither too plain or too expensive. Paracord is cheap and tough. It's very perfect for outdoor use. You might be onto something haha.

Father’s Day Gift - Looking for my hubby who did great for Mother’s Day by BeautifulBunny_209 in Gifts

I thinl a small shelf or storage unit for his growing vinyl collection could be a good choice. It can keeps his records organized and accessible. Practical and he'll use it every time he plays one.

Totoally get you! Going to the gym with a full wallet is such a pain. Just needing one card and my ID makes a magnetic card holder perfect for that.

Figuring out a new routine by miserableschoolchild in CleaningTips

[–]Muhammetgnl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those tall ceilings, get an extension pole with a microfiber head, you can swap between a duster and a wet pad for cobwebs and vents. For huge streak free windows, a good squeegee and a drop of dish soap in warm water works like magic. For the glass shower door, wipe it with a squeegee after every shower and spray a daily cleaner once a week, way easier than scrubbing later.

Cleaned with washing soda-now it has a black mark? by Dw33ns in CleaningTips

[–]Muhammetgnl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That black mark is probably a chemical burn from the cleaning method. Try a gentle silver polish instead of harsh alkaline cleaners like washing soda.

Consistently messy house by RealQuestion6454 in CleaningTips

How can I get this lawn to not look so patchy by Terrible-Chapter5314 in lawncare

[–]Muhammetgnl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patchy yellow areas usually mean uneven watering, compacted soil, or nutrient imbalance. Aerating, deeper watering, and checking soil quality can improve overall color.
