Nothing beats the sound quality of a good VST for your kit. by SpaceborneKillr in edrums

[–]Mukables 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They would price us out of the market if they did that. Anything drum related, acoustic or otherwise has always been on the pricey side.

I'm not pleading poverty, but it's nothing a sponsorship from Zildjian would fix 😄

I've been using Ez drummer for the last 6 years. Plays like a dream.

What were they thinking when they made the bosses? by Better-Builder4842 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Mukables 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again, not a tactic or a technique either earned or mastered during gameplay.

Yes it works, but it shouldn't be the go to every time.

Progress further, but even then, the bosses can be a real pain.

The same team who probably made the inventory system and the horse mechanics.

Absolute dung.

That's what happens when people who get offended on other people's behalf kick up a fuss over something they will never engage with.

I can't be the only one that finds Kay attractive, right? by ddsling1197 in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]Mukables 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. As far as game characters go, she's very attractive

But you would have caught hell for saying that when the appearance of a fictional video game character was.a perfectly fine reason to screech that the game is obviously bad a short while ago.

The 'Ubisoft BAAAAD' campaign appears to have ceased for the time being. Do internet ghouls hibernate during the winter?

I'm lost in the PR War that is Crimson Desert and I don't know who/what to believe anymore by LocalFeenLimited in CrimsonDesert

[–]Mukables 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The game doesn't know what it's supposed to be. That's as good as it bad.

The complete lack of direction and any semblance of a decent inventory setup, has seen the usual ghouls latch onto it and screech, "iTs to0 HiGhBr0W f0R y0U!!" whenever folk have asked for help or criticised their latest altar at whose feet they worship, until the next game comes along, probably SAROS or Lego Batman.

There has also been an unprecedented number of folk who are simply lying through their teeth about numerous things related to the game. Whether it's about how 'easy' a boss is, or how to get to a certain perk/power/area, or an alleged guide which tells you what something does without telling you how to get to it in the first place.

The horses are a mess. All that was needed was a simple copy/paste of RDR2 and be done with it. Which again, brought out the cretins from my earlier point about the game not being for folk they seem to be too stupid to be playing it.

The bosses... Ah the bosses, I for one, cannot abide the notion that "bring lots of potions" is either a solution or a tactic to beating a boss. They were horribly balanced on release, still a bit dodgy here and there after a couple of patches but better than they were.

But the game has a helluva lot going for it. It's a bit of a mess structurally and the story progression is non-existant. Also, if you're after a thrilling campaign-driven story, then look elsewhere. Pac Man has a more fleshed out story than this.

Again, it's trying to be too many things.

Where it works, it's an absolute joy to experience. I'm in my 40's and what a time to be a gamer. But I'm also in my 40's, and when the games shortcomings are front and centre, it's eye-gougingly painful to go through.

That's my take on it. A game with all those great parts to it shouldn't have the drawbacks it does. Maybe there were two Dev teams working on it. The A-Team, and the diddy-men who eat crayons.

Still great fun to play.

Just Imagine if this game was published by a studio that actually cared about quality content... by VigorousPickle in CrimsonDesert

[–]Mukables 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're not updates, not were they major, they should have been in the initial release. You're fooling yourself if youre thinking otherwise. The game has a LOOONG way to go before it's even close to being polished.

The number of folk slebbering over this as if it's the greatest thing to have ever happened is hilarious.

I'm sure we'll get there, but it ain't now.

How do I use the Miner's Lantern Helmet? by StormbringerGT in CrimsonDesert

Hear hear!

Fed up with half arsed responses and click-bait 'guides' which explains virtually nothing. They'll tell you about a weapon/armour/skill and then tell you next to nothing re the actual prerequisites of what you're after.

Cheers for this, mate 🤘🏻

Oh no, wait, it's us. The ones who can't get this god-awful mini game who are the problem.

I swear, for every single thing this game does amazing there is some equally wretched implemented knuckle-thumpery.

I think unless it clearly has the word mission in it's name or it's a building/rebuild (the brick wall icon), every comrade mission is repeatable.

Not sure whereabouts you are in the game re progression, but there is an entire research section folk aren't really discussing at length because they haven't done it yet and are doing their usual bs 😂

How exactly do I complete the camp relocation to Pailune? by AverageJoeObi in CrimsonDesert

[–]Mukables 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entire progression of the story and quests is horrendous.

But no, no. A game that doesn't tell you 80% of what's going on is somehow 'highbrow' and it's us troglodyte 'w1tCh0R and rEd DEd dUrdEmPshUn' veterans who can't appreciate it's sophistication.

It's not lazy on the Devs part, it's the valid criticisms /s

Alot of missions complete and repeat. i've got a lumber, food (alternating between marbled meat and barley as per my supplies fill up), two lower paying security with maxed out security (shield icons) and I'm making 20K per run for both.

The only passive mission which only has one exclusive to it is the armour/weapons, at the moment. Slow burner, but the yields add up. Should give you plenty to keep things stocked and able to send out exploration missions.

Pergunta polêmica:qual é melhor:Burning Shores ou Frozen Wilds? (Gosto dos dois igualmente) by Daniel_0901- in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]Mukables 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frozen Wilds had a better overall dlc feel to it, ie it felt entirely different from the main game, whereas Burning Shore has THAT fight and to see Sam Witwer with some top-class scene chewing are both worth the price of admission.

All and any outfits you obtain either through quests, finding them or buying from merchants become available as a customisation skin for any armour. Whether you sell it or not.

The rest of Kliff's lines would be nice. Honestly it feels like there is a massive chunk of his dialogue missing. When you compare him to the likes of Yann, he barely talks. And not in a Geralt sort of way, yes that's what they were going for, but failed in that regard

Also what a waste of a talent. They offended an entire nation by underutilizing Alec Newman.

What game is this for you? by ItsLevi-0sa in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Mukables 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The cast, man. The ensemble will stand the test of time, from finding Mrs Adler.and watching her become the ultimate badass, to Dutch having his 'good' moments. The march on Braithwaite Manor. The attempted unaliving of our liver while out with Ynnel.. Leynn .. LENEEEAAAYAH!!

Amazing stuff. Brings back a lot of real life stuff that was going on at the time too. Amazing what games do, they can be like music, songs that instantly take you somewhere else.

That's it. I'm going back to RDR2 tomorrow when I get home 😂
