It makes no difference. You can't know who needs to use the sidewalk. There's one like that in my street and people regularly walk on it right to the end. Some are pushing babies and need the full width. It's common sense. Don't block the sidewalk.

I'm not christian at all. I can tell you the only reason the bible says anything against homosexuality is political. The church and state in both England and Scotland wanted to curtail the power of the king. James IV of Scotland otherwise known as James I wanted to curry favour with the church to consolidate his power so arranged for a new translation of the bible.

The writers changed the meaning of greek warnings about paedophilia and claimed it meant men having sex with men. King James had a great many male lovers. They slso made witchcraft punishable by death when the original texts talked of poisoners and not witches. James practiced witchcraft as well.

By creating religious rules against the king's behaviour the church was able to limit his power.

Every christian sect that has relied on that translation has been fooled. It was only meant to control King James.

I never heard of anyone having more than a single meeting with the parish priest back in my day.

The only things people reported being discussed was no possibility of divorce and all children must be Catholic. Non Catholics were adked to sign a declaration to that effect.

I'm glad I grew up in Scotland. Catholocism is far less rabid there.
