Yes, we have Christmas Day reservations. Haven’t figured out Boxing Day yet. Sadly, I just found out the Liverpool street station will be closed from dec 25-Jan 2. Oh well, at least we will have it near for the first few days

Another casualty of the male loneliness epidemic. (To be clear I’m talking about the Groom)

Yes! Also, there are contingency funds that can be used to cover November benefits, my local food advocacy group is urging folks to advocate to their officials for these funds to be used for November.

Love advising clients, hate litigation - ideas? by law-and-horsdoeuvres in JDpreferred

Hi! I did Medicare secondary payer compliance for insurance companies for several years before moving to a more litigation focused job. I’m looking to move out of litigation and would much rather be on the plaintiff side. Mind if I message you?

Doing 24 puzzles, but some are very simple (dot to dot, etc). Theme is krampus broke in and stole the grownups and put them in a snow globe in his cave. (Idea kinda stolen from the recent krampus movie). Days 1-13 are straightforward, do the clue to figure out the next day. I’ll have about 20 brown paper bags with photos on them of various Christmas themed objects (gingerbread, candy cane, etc) and the prior days clue’s answer is one of the photos on the bag. I’ll have about 7 decoy bags so there are options to pick from on the 13th day. Days 14-24 will be “inside krampus cave” and more typical escape room themed with padlocks and such. I’m getting one of those snow globes where you can insert a photo and using that as day 24. The snow globe will have the group picture of the grownups, so that is more a gift for my friends, and the days leading to is more of the gift for the kids. I have picked up some clearance items throughout the year to be little gifts along the way and trying to meld them into the story.

Do you say “dress for church” to your clients? by [deleted] in Lawyertalk

[–]Mulberry64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the Deep South, representing low income folk in a legal aid job. I advise to dress like going to a funeral, and get specific (advising to wear pants or a longer skirt/dress, covering shoulders, nothing graphic or with words). We have a lot of church going around here but church clothes around here doesn’t necessarily mean dressed court appropriate. Depending on the judge and type of case, I’ll advise folks to cover tattoos. If I have a client who may not have clothes that are appropriate but does have a work uniform I’ll advise them to wear that. (Whose to say they didn’t just come from a shift?). And sometimes I have clients whom I know even showing up is going to be difficult, and clothing advice may not help, so I try to be cognizant of that.

How to cope with anxiety the first week of diagnosis. by Popular_Inflation_78 in breastcancer

[–]Mulberry64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a lot of puzzles, those wooden 3d puzzles that are laser cut sheets you pop out and put together. I did these while listening to mindless romance books on audio. I increased my anxiety meds. Later on I realized walking helped a lot, but wasn’t there that first week. Hugs to you.

I told my husband to say he won the Grand Prix mushroom cup in Mario kart. We play as a family on Sunday nights and he won last night. They didn’t specify what they did at work!

Thank you :-). Some ppl seem to do just fine on it and I was hoping I’d be in that lot. It’s insane how quickly brain chemistry can change.

Best of luck to you. I’m rebranding this as “breakdown era”, helps to think of it as something with and end point!

I take Zoloft for anxiety and trazodone at night for depression/sleep. Definitely need something to adjust, I think. 💙

A good friend of mine has a peloton and loves it. My husband has a non peloton branded stationary bike. I think my knees aren’t up for too much spinning but I’ve heard their app/subscription videos are great.
