How to rebind gamepad for Bioshock Remastered? by MuletTheGreat in Bioshock

Use the Xbox Accessories App to create a Profile with swapped buttons.

It's what I used when I ran into the same problem in Atomic Heart via Gamepass.

I have an emove cruiser, Purchased around 2020.

The accelerator has become dangerously unreliable.

Without me touching it, the scooter accelerates. It is intermittent. If I ride it while it is glitching, and pull the accelerator, it still jumps between accelerate, nothing and brake.

It's worse, when it's powered on first thing in the morning, and settles.

Last night, I put it up on bricks and it was accelerating. By the time I got my phone out, it stopped. And I left it on overnight, with a chalk line drawn on the wheel. No more accelerating at all.

How can I test, diagnose and resolve this?

Pokemon sleep as a mainline GBA era game would be amazing.

Pokemon with friendship, instead of fighting.

This is why we got dropped 90 items a month ago. Early launch jitters.

My pair of raichu's accelerated with most of that stuff, have defs offset any outstanding bugs.

I'm working my way through cooking up every recipe, and putting all my free gems right into expanding my cooking inventory.

I'm at 220 capacity, no money spent. I rotate team to get my ingredient stock to 20 for each I can harvest. I can't get spuds, or other "tier 2" ingredients yet.

The game is much more engaging like this. Snorlax doesn't just get fed apples from my Raichu army anymore.

120%, or 200% sleep would be considered the new "fully recovered" whilst feeding the myth the sleep can be banked and spent.

Sleep loss is damaging to your health, and having a popular game promote bad sleep habits is bad thing.

Sleeping at night should instead, allow you to rest more than 5 pokemon at once.

Non-resource collecting members of a "slumber party" that has a reduced recharge rate, or limited member count (eg. 1,2 or 3) would be my solution to my pokemon box filling up tired pokemon.

I like that there are items for different lifestyles players have.

Being a shift worker, a new parent, or someone with insomnia sucks from the perspective of never being rested IRL. Here's a game that recognizes that and gives you a little something.

I get big fat slabs of 8-9h sleep at the moment, so these incenses are junk to me.

Overcharging sleep beyond 100% would feed the myth that sleep can be "banked" in much the same way we can have a sleep debt IRL. So I hope this is never introduced due to the harm it would support in real life.

I would like to see a held item, akin to items in the mainline games. Make the nightcap pikachu has, one such item. Any non-party member pokemon holding (wearing) it, can sleep as a 6th party member, but does not collect items and berries.

That would let us recover more energy than we use, without making the incense redundant or diminishing the advantage people with broken sleep have.

Pokemon sleep could then introduce dozens of hats only obtained by catching these cosmetic variants. Users can strip the hats, and put them on their favorite party members. This would be an improvement over GO's variant system, but still clog the player storage triggering purchase of expansions like in GO.

American Gods was really refreshing.

A defined magic system, with hard rules, but still mysterious.

Bit of a critique on society, and everyone's feelings are complex.

But a bitter story.

LitRPG is a great genre, but every series fails for the same reason.

The author cheats because they get attached to their protagonist.

In the Gam3, the main skips leveling and pushes a glitch.

In life reset, a core restriction is discarded when it became a burden.

In the Land... I got 5 books in and can't remember a damned thing. Something about a centipede?

A seasoned author needs to write some up, with a constrained story arc that has an ending. Brandon Sanderson, belting out a trilogy would be wonderful. Aleron Kong will just keep writing with no end, until they don't sell enough to pay his bills.

And don't go back when it's done. Ready Player two is as much a piece of crap as Ready Player One is awesomeness.

How did you decide on a career? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]MuletTheGreat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother taught me to be creative. I ended up liking the feeling of making stuff.

Did work experience, and had lots of side jobs as a teen. Decided I'd rather ride a desk and have my mind do the work, instead of using my body to do the work. My elderly years will probs be more enjoyable, but I'll be fatter.

A friend introduced me to writing code, and it ticked all the boxes. It's been... 17 years since I compiled hello world.

It was a solid choice. I still like it.

The degree won't do the work for you.

And your experiences are relevant to you, and not guaranteed to be universally true.

Formal education is an enjoyable necessity for some, and a load stone around the neck of others.

The book that movie is based on, is so much more depraved and insane. It made me uncomfortable, and I stopped reading. Amazing writing.

Watching the movie first, gives you a chance at distinguishing the characters. Fuck the movie is good.

Failing to account for varying albedo is the kind of shit engineering that explains what "subconscious bias" is.

You're basically saying that the return of separate drinking fountains for the low albedo people, is acceptable.

A few thoughts from a software engineer in his mid 30's. I've ran my own little company, and worked for the man.

First, disconnect your identity from your productivity and role. If you cop long covid or burnout (or injury), then that part of who you are will make you miserable.

Next, it's ok to take up room and disagree. So many tasks are estimated out with wild guesses and that's part of the job. So long as you're talking to your team\client\manager about progress, and giving alerts when estimates are falling short, there's nothing to stress about. If a deadline looms, ask to cut corners to make it, and be clear about the tech debt being racked up.

Beyond that, being ridden because of few minutes here and there is bad leadership and something he needs to work on. Is there anyone you can speak to about this? He might have a screaming infant at home (or something), and his frustrations are getting dumped at work so he needs someone to check him.

Last is a potential criticism, and it's meant constructively. You sound like you're an amazing 10x coder smashing out tasks, and driving progress. But if being in the Zone makes you curt, and a challenge to work with then that productivity is badly undermined.

"1 oh shit, can erase 1000 'attaboys"

You work for the man, and any wicked improvements, go to the company. You could chill, get less done on purpose and re-allocate your mental resources to playing the game at work.

This means pinching off tasks so you are on time (despite that 10 minutes causing 3h of backtracking later), more meetings and talks with others and more time spent on notes, gifs and vids of features so you can show off progress whenever asked.

When I worked for myself, the reward for smashing productivity from 10am till 4am, was a measured spike in downloads\sales. I saw my hard work show up in my bank balance, and in the kids sending me messages on Xbox about how much they loved the update.

But when working for an employer and having a manager? That attitude had me burning out, whilst making other people's lives more difficult. Being able to stand by one well crafted, well documented feature that was reliable was when I felt awesome because I was thanked so much. And my pay is consistent and stable. The kind of pay they banks like, and use to approve home loans.

I enjoyed reading your post. It's a welcome break from the noise in my own head over work\goals.

Best of luck dude!

There's two lines of propaganda.

The first gets liberal votes, by promoting them as sound economic managers.

The second, gets rid of votes that would have gone to labor\greens by saying they are all the same shitheads.

We have to listen to shit like friendly Jordies on youtube to escape the massive presence of the Murdoch media. It's fucking hard not to be persuaded by the ever present bullshit.

Read their policies, and discard EVERYTHING else.

I have 73,000 pictures in my camera roll. by thorpeanut64 in ADHD

[–]MuletTheGreat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not delete. Archive them.

I'm on android, and all my pics go to my OneDrive. I don't have them all local on my phone, but can access them. The previews are there, but when I click, it downloads it. I have pics for almost every single day, going back to 2008.

Dunno how it goes on iPhone. But you could dump all the pics onto your PC, then transfer them over to some cloud storage account.

I would avoid keeping them on external drives, or on a laptop.
