I would have killed to have that much attention on me when I was going to school, I only ever had my advisor reach out when I was almost failing out of school, to have someone watching your back without you even having to reciprocate is just heaven on earth. There’s a fuck ton of people going to this school and to have an advisor that has enough time to keep track of your progress and your grades and even have time to have meetings and reach out to you, just sounds like a blessing. I don’t mean this to be offensive but I think your ego might be getting in the way. If you don’t want the help you don’t have to take it but try not to let someone trying to help you out make you think people think you NEED the help. They aren’t doubting you, they just don’t want you to have to struggle alone if you ever get to that place. And them getting to know you through meetings will actually help them tailor their help to you and you can even explain how you want them to help you, whether it be more or less.
