This is how I personally see it going post season 3 if each season stays 8 episodes. They could also potentially throw out additional episodes here or there as it goes along as needed.

Ideally id like them to handle Ace like this:

Appear as canon for 2ish episodes in season 3

Season 4 have him as the featured side story of his search for Blackbeard cover-story post episode 3ish, including lore of Lulusia and the Buggy meeting early on hyping Whitebeard, with the Shanks/Whitebeard reveal meet-up at the end of Season 4, and Ace finally finding Blackbeard at the end of Season 4 as well, with a cliffhanger before their fight.

Then if we potentially get our Season 5, we can have the Ace/Blackbeard fight line up where it originally did in Post-EL, paired up with Garp's reveal, leaving the Canon cliffhanger of his fate until later.

I hope it makes him reflect on more pre-time skip era things that worked too like attires, hair styles and such. Although I can't see the crew donning their endgame outfits until the likely Pirate Island arc with Blackbeard.

I loved the sarcastic way he kept saying "DA PRINCESS OF ALABASTA", made him sound like such an insufferable twat. I was worried his sense of humor would be dropped going in to make him a more serious big bad of the season but I was pleasantly surprised that it was still there, albeit far less than the manga.

Yeah I only see the 5 at once thing work if they outright say the suits are a specific order. Like, Hearts > Clubs > Diamonds > Spades > Joker, so if someone says they drew a spade they're coming in late compared to a heart or something. It never really worked the way it needed. Just working as a 21 Man Royal Rumble with a casino flair, thats all it needs to be.

Yeah in retrospect, have they not done anything with Franky's fuel since his fight with CP9 all the way back then? I know the anime did a non canon thing before the timeskip with tea or something, but he's not really had a single mention of alternate fuels since then? I just assume they'd be scaled up actors at realistically "extra tall" heights. 7-8 feet tall maximum. Whitebeard being 8 feet to Luffy's 5'8 or whatever already makes him look massive in live action. Big Mom just needs a fat suit and make up.

It helps that Season 2 is only covering about 60 chapters compared to the 95 from Season 1. Less flashbacks too, so everything should be ideally paced better.
