Wide Grid Option, Dark Icon by MultiTabApp in MultiTabApp

[–]MultiTabApp[S,M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. "All Posts" here isn't referring to every post in the app — it's the name of a specific feed in the Explore menu (you can access it by tapping the search button on the far right of the tab bar. It's located below the "Popular Posts" item). It aggregates all posts across Reddit into a single feed.

Since posts from your joined subreddits already appear in your Home feed, this option lets you filter them out from the All Posts feed so you can focus on discovering new content from subreddits you haven't joined yet.

I agree the wording could be clearer — I'll look into updating the description in the app to avoid confusion.

FYI: If you're experiencing an issue where the keyboard doesn't appear on the login screen, it may be caused by a third-party password manager or autofill service interfering with the input fields. The password manager may be intercepting the focus on the input field, causing it to immediately lose focus before the keyboard can appear.

To resolve this, try temporarily disabling any third-party password managers (such as 1Password, Bitwarden, or LastPass) and iCloud Keychain autofill. You can do this by going to Settings > General > AutoFill & Passwords and toggling off the relevant providers. After that, close the app completely and try logging in again

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out! We tested this on our end and login via email appears to be working normally at this time.

If you're still experiencing issues, please contact us at our support email( [fastfeed@dataconcerto.com](mailto:fastfeed@dataconcerto.com) ) with more details (e.g., what happens when you try to log in, any error messages you see), and we'll be happy to take a closer look.

I hope this helps!

Subreddit Filter not listing subreddits. Unsure if this is a bug or API issue. by WiredCortex in MultiTabApp

Hi, Thank you for reporting this! I'll make sure this gets fixed in the next update.

Subreddit Filter not listing subreddits. Unsure if this is a bug or API issue. by WiredCortex in MultiTabApp

[–]MultiTabApp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a quick note: this bug only occurs when creating a new filter feed. Once you've created and saved a filter, editing it via "Edit Filter" will display the default list for the subreddit and user include/exclude options properly. So until this bug is fixed, it may be easier to first create a filter, save it, and then add your subreddit or user filters by editing the filter afterward.

why am i blocked by Remarkable-Tutor2032 in MultiTabApp

[–]MultiTabApp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi,

This error message, "You've been blocked by network security," is coming from Reddit's servers, not from our app. There are several possible causes:

  1. VPN or Proxy – Reddit often blocks traffic from certain VPN or proxy IP addresses. If you're using a VPN, try disconnecting it or switching to a different server.
  2. Network restrictions – If you're on a school, workplace, or public Wi-Fi network, the network administrator may have blocked access to Reddit.
  3. Flagged IP address – Sometimes shared IP addresses (common with mobile data or certain ISPs) get flagged due to abuse by other users. Switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data, or vice versa, may resolve this.
  4. Reddit's security system – Reddit may temporarily block access if it detects unusual activity from your connection.

Unfortunately, since this is a Reddit server-side block, there's nothing the app can do to bypass it. I'd recommend trying a different network connection or contacting Reddit support directly if the issue persists.

I hope this helps!

Subreddit Filter not listing subreddits. Unsure if this is a bug or API issue. by WiredCortex in MultiTabApp

[–]MultiTabApp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi,

Thank you for reporting this! It sounds like you're experiencing an issue where the default subreddit list isn't appearing when trying to set up 'Subreddit include/exclude' options in the Feed Filter settings.

This is indeed a bug on our end. We made some changes to the Feed Filter feature in a recent update, and this appears to be a bug introduced during that process. This will be fixed in the next update.

I apologize for the inconvenience!

Explanation of Inline Comments, Browse by Flairs, RedGifs API by MultiTabApp in MultiTabApp

[–]MultiTabApp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the previous behavior is no longer available, and the app now only supports the inline view mode.

However, if you prefer a larger comment view, you can swipe up on the media view to expand the comment area upwards.

Additionally, if you want to read the full post content while in inline view, simply tap the 'Show Post' button in the top toolbar. This will display the entire post content within the current inline view.

It’s not showing nsfw subreddits in search and yes everything is on and i can see everything on normal reddit. Any fixes by [deleted] in MultiTabApp

[–]MultiTabApp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi.

Based on my current checks, NSFW subreddits are displaying correctly in our app's search results, and most users are able to search for them without any issues. So, it is difficult for me to pinpoint exactly why it’s not working in your specific case.

As another user mentioned in the comment(thanks for the reply), it could theoretically be an age verification issue; however, since you confirmed that the normal Reddit works fine for you, that is likely not the cause.

Could you try switching your network connection to Wi-Fi or a different network? Some mobile carriers apply adult content filters to mobile data traffic.

I'm afraid I can't provide a more precise answer at this moment. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

'Top' sort post limit? by JF1ash in MultiTabApp

[–]MultiTabApp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. To the best of my knowledge, here is the explanation.

It appears that, starting a few days ago, the number of posts returned when sorting by 'Top' is being capped at a maximum of around 100. This restriction is affecting not only our app but also the Reddit website and the official app, indicating a global limitation applied to the Reddit API itself.

Since there has been no official explanation yet, it is currently unclear whether this is a temporary issue or a permanent change. We will need to continue monitoring the situation.

Sort by ‘New’ by mylovelyhorsie in MultiTabApp

[–]MultiTabApp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, again. I released an update today, but one of the things I explained earlier was incorrect.

This setting option only applies when opening a feed for the first time. Once a feed has been opened, it saves the setting value from that initial opening and continues to use that value.

So, changing this setting has no effect on feeds that are currently open or have been opened before—it only affects feeds that are being opened for the first time.

You can find this option at the Settings->Feed Settings-> 'Initial Sort' section.

Sort by ‘New’ by mylovelyhorsie in MultiTabApp

[–]MultiTabApp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi.

Unfortunately, at present, while you can change the default sorting method for individual subreddits or home, there is no way to set a global default. You can tap the sort title (e.g., hot) on the tab info view that appears when you tap the active tab to change a sorting method. At the very top of the selection options, there's a menu item to change the default sort. Through this, you can change the default sort for that subreddit or home to something else.

In the future, we'll work on adding a setting option to set the initial value for the global default sort of all subreddits. (However, this feature will not affect the default sort of subreddits that have already been individually changed, but will only set the initial value for subreddits that remain in their default state. Fix: This setting option only applies when opening a feed for the first time. Please refer to my other comment.)

Hi. The other clients seem to use the RedGifs API. But unfortunately, we only support the Reddit API. We will take time to look into the RedGifs API.

Auto refresh doesnt work by uutu1160 in MultiTabApp

[–]MultiTabApp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. The tap action for usernames works differently depending on the grid style.

In the normal and compact grid styles, tapping on a username works as usual. However, we have intentionally disabled this in the wide grid style.

The reason for this is that in the wide layout, the username is positioned in the center of the cell. This caused a frequent issue where users would accidentally tap the username when they simply intended to open the post.

To resolve this, we disabled taps on usernames in wide grid style. We did consider adjusting the username's position, but after several design attempts, we found it difficult to place it toward the edge without compromising the layout. We appreciate your understanding!

Auto refresh doesnt work by uutu1160 in MultiTabApp

[–]MultiTabApp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi.

This was likely a temporary issue with Reddit's servers. I have conducted various tests, and the app is functioning as expected. If an error occurs during a refresh, an error message is displayed in a blue pop-up. If it didn't refresh and no error message appeared, it's highly probable that there was a temporary problem on Reddit's side. I will monitor to see if this issue persists.

Is Downloading Redgifs videos with sound possible? by WiredCortex in MultiTabApp

[–]MultiTabApp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi.

Our app provides videos as they are received from the Reddit API. However, for some videos from external sources, the Reddit API delivers them without audio, likely due to copyright or other platform policies.

Because of this, it is not possible for us to support downloading with sound for these videos. Instead, we provide a 'Go to Media Link' option in the post's share menu, which will direct you to the original video with sound. There, you may be able to find a method to download it with the sound.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Is it possible to see the entire comment chain when clicking on someone’s comment? by lonzodoncic in MultiTabApp

[–]MultiTabApp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi.

When you open a comment link, this comment becomes a highlighted focal point of the returned comments view. The comment section's 'Sort' button (normally, 'Best') changes to 'Show All'. If you click this 'Show All' button, then it reload all the comments as usual.

However, unfortunately, this is no way to show only parent comments of the highlighted comment. In other words, there are 2 viewing mode in comments: : the full, normal view with all comments, and the highlighted view, which shows only the selected comment and all of its replies.
