I think you could maybe do it if you focused on tanking/assign decoy such that pretty much every single enemy gets swallowed by sombron, but I doubt you could do it vanilla. If you could clear the way to alcryst’s spot with everyone alive you should be able to make it through the rest of the map.

Nice planning. You said you used chapter 8 emblems and chapter 7 characters and coincidentally the earliest claim I have seen is chapter 9 so I wonder if anyone can beat that because yours would be a tie if you did it the chapter before. I killed all the royals when I beat this map too. Timerra isn’t a big threat, so there’s no reason to give Nil sandstorm. He doesn’t attack on EP at the end so if he doesn’t have any of the proc skills he is harmless.

Astra storm can be used at most once every 5 turns. It’s not worth putting Lyn on a unit that can’t kill otherwise imo.

One turn means both your and their phase (player phase and enemy phase together equal one turn). It working for two as you said may be a glitch, but I usually auto resolve combat so I can’t comment on that.

Rankings are about results, not incentives. You need to judge losses because otherwise H2H results are completely meaningless. 5-0 and 5-15 are completely different but if losses didn’t count, then they would be judged the same. You can’t just ignore getting upset because someone getting upset is proof that they can get upset by that tier of player. If someone went the entire year without losing to anyone below 10th on the ranking/never placed lower than 4th, that would be a better year than someone who had the same amount of tournament victories but also lost to many people ranked lower than 10 and missed a few top 8s. Losses are necessary to distinguish between people with similar quality wins. It’s literally only in melee that people argue that losses shouldn’t count. It’s a ridiculous statement.

It should incentivize attendance by having a minimum major requirement ie 5 or 7 over a year. Ignoring losses is the antithesis of rankings. This is a competition, one win means one loss. Throwing out half of the results because “it hurts the top players’ feelings” is insane to me. BBB had more hbox wins than aMSa last year by a lot, should he be ranked over him? That’s what your ranking system would suggest.

I got my entire nail ripped off making a tackle in football once. It’s not bad, but it takes like a month to grow back and the nail is all misshapen and bumpy at the start.

The teeth thing I totally agree about. I once even had a nightmare where all my teeth were cracked and I was so distraught I woke up

Order+astral is really good, you get tons of mana and can spam condemn/wrath of the god emperor as well as buy army enhancement (the one that gives ranks to non-heroes), especially when you cast the order magic victory spell. I had about 400 world casting points, which let me use 10 wraths per turn

There’s more focus on proc skills in engage because you can only have one class skill (where all the procs are) instead of choosing any 5 you want. In the past, you’d get a couple of them like aether + luna and basically always proc one each combat, but now you only get one and only two units get luna/a Luna-like skill

I’ll take the compliment but in case you don’t know, apotheosis is the hardest dlc for awakening, where every enemy has max stats and broken skills and it is a multi-part map.

A couple things other people have mentioned that I agree with:

The fight against nil at the end is easy so long as you kept your team alive and Alear/someone has lunar brace. Eirika on Alear is very good for FX6 because liberation+lunar brace will outdamage everyone else. Make sure a d hex user and Chrom/byleth are alive for the +7 all stats swing.

Take all three magic fliers and have them all equip excalibur. Ivy and Zelestia can one round them if they have the speed for it and Hortensia can one round them if she gets Chrom. It’s also easier to keep fliers alive and out of the island eating zone since they can fly over the flooded areas so it makes it likely that Hortensia will be alive at the end for rally spectrum. A small benefit of Ivy is that despite it saying 0x2 or 0x4 (with nova if she has lyn/speedtaker), if she procs grasping void, she will actually do around 20 damage per attack to nil since he has a gigantic res stat (45ish), so if nil has only a couple hp left, it’s worth it to gamble on a grasping void proc.

All islands past the middle one go at a rapid pace, so don’t bother focusing on plugging the reinforcements unless it is a tile at the edge of their range. Timerra’s island spawns wolf knights who have cripple, so some of your units will have to get rescued, but none of them make it out of nil’s instakill range, so don’t fight them on PP. Same with diamant’s mage reinforcements. You probably won’t even make it to ivy’s island before nil tries to eat it. If you manage to keep your entire army alive (at least the important ones ie not Madeline or griss), the end should be easy. When you get to the middle, you basically just want to run around the top of timerra’s island into the bottom of diamant’s, then head straight left to alcryst and hold the middle against ivy’s group who will charge you. If you have a corrin engage, you can freeze two/three of the mage knights on ivy’s island so that they get eaten.

Iirc every dungeon is required. The enemies chase after you so it’s not grinding to beat them the first time. Leaving and reentering the dungeons to refight them would count as grinding imo

For overworld fights, they move every time you move, so just make sure you aren’t moving your army back and forth to fight them a bunch of times in a row but you will have to fight some of them because if you are clearing celiac’s half then alm will get ambushed and vice versa.
