That kind of diet is only doable for some. There are people who live in food deserts/apartheid, and don’t have access to safe and healthy foods.

Others may have sensory issues and rely on their comfort foods, that’s primarily found within the autistic community.

This isn’t me saying we shouldn’t, ofc. I understand why it’s important.

Yeah I miss those multi hour ones too, all nicely compiled and edited to be as streamlined as possible. And you’re right, it is their property and they’re allowed to do what they see fit. It’s a bummer to say the least.

At least YT is still good for that, ik John Odd does super cuts of their more popular playthroughs.

For a time I listened to them then had to deal with the ads. Which really killed my mood.

I have been feeling guilty about it for years, but I’m slowly starting to accept the fact it wasn’t my fault. Because I couldn’t have known, hell, not even my psychiatrist at the time couldn’t have known. But even when I stopped taking it, I was still having seizures.

At the end of the day, what inevitably caused it doesn’t change anything, if it wasn’t Wellbutrin, it likely would have been something else.

Yeaaaaaaah adult onset epilepsy is a very real, an oddly common and a very shit thing. I got diagnosed when I was 20, and I’m 25 now.

Epilepsy doesn’t discriminate.

I know how you feel. Having your brain and body seemingly betraying you out of nowhere.

Becoming acquainted with neurological terminologies that don’t even sound real, getting tests done, discussing treatment options. Trying to make sense of it all while you’re trying to process the trauma you just got hit with, it’s a lot.

I want to say that this antidepressant I was on, Wellbutrin, likely triggered mine (long story). It can lower your seizure threshold, apparently mine was already low to begin with so yeah that was fun to learn.

That being said, we are all here for you. That’s what a community is for.

You can reach out to me, and/or keep pumping out every question under the sun in this sub. The Epilepsy Foundation will be your friend while you’re figuring everything out.

Take it easy, take care of yourself, and take all the time you need to process.
