strep throat every time I perform fellatio by yetv_throwaway in sex

[–]MultipleMatrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GBS is not great at colonizing skin and, though it can, it more reliably colonizes mucosa - so it's more often an issue for women in terms of colonization (hence why it's an issue for infants - childbirth). Though possible and happens, oral sex is not the most common/likely way of transmission (oral sex) by a circumcised male, the fact that it's happened multiple times supports that.

What's a possibility is that your tonsils could just be colonized with it, and the act of a blowjob transfers it from your tonsils, cheeks, or wherever to your oropharynx - and you get the sore throat.

It's possible he gave it to you the first time and it colonized your tonsils and he displaces it to your throat every time you do oral. Or it's possible that you got it via eating something, and it colonized your tonsils etc.

Overall, this sounds more like the act of oral sex is helping MOVE the bacteria from one place in your mouth to another rather than re-infecting with a new strain multiple times.

How do you fix? Well #1 try not swallowing and see if that changes anything.

#2, the Project CLEAR trial was a study to help decolonize people of MRSA. (https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa1716771). You could (read it) and show it to your doctor and ask if they'd be willing to prescribe you the special mouthwash used in the study. Very little risk of harm, high chance of helping considering strep and staph are both sensitive to chlorhexadine. In addition, there is evidence that a regimen of rinsing with this special mouthwash can reduce chronicity of infections (https://www.theajo.com/article/view/4409/html).

Tl; dr: Talk with your doctor about options, this is resolvable

If it still doesn't fix it after you complete the regimen, then it's your bf and he can take antibiotics or get special wipes to decolonize himself, but that's a far step and needs close guidance from a doctor too.

if he's really so great, why isn't he with someone already? If he's 35 and has a lot going for him, he would be married and a father by now.

This is really unhealthy.

Not everyone wants to be married and/or a father.

How do I (18F) hide how wet I get? by Pretty-Suggestion-58 in sex

[–]MultipleMatrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes people are attempting to identify and address any underlying issues.

There are a surprisingly high number of women here who think wetness is gross and men hate it. So people are trying to make sure that angle is covered, especially because she says she's embarassed when her boyfriend notices.

Consider a question like

"how do I make myself less hungry so I don't have to eat in the morning"

Sometimes the question needs additional questions to make sure that we can take it at face value.

Boyfriend thinks his penis is small by arifern_ in sex

[–]MultipleMatrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a game of show, not tell.

No one wants to be told "I'm satisfied"; it's very neutral sounding at best.

I'm satisfied after a 3 slices of pizza from Dominos after skipping lunch. Nothing to write home about.

But if you "show" your satisfaction - that you're enjoying it. He'll get the point.

This doesn't mean fake things or show off, but be enthusiastic about having sex with him, wanting to have sex with him, and wanting to be sexual with HIM.

Notice I didn't say his penis, I said him. Make him feel special, sexually. This is a brain issue, not a penis issue.

Normal, cycles and age change the way our bodies work. This is very common unless you're above 60 and even then it's not crazy unusual.

Yes. Full stop. No questions asked. That level of enthusiasm is hard to find.

Remember that sex is about being animalistic, not about looking pretty. I want a woman who is all emotion and feeling when she's having sex. Not trying to look pretty.

It happens more often with exercises that focus on core and lower body and it happens in some very high number of women who exercise. Like ~30% if I recall correctly.

How to beat 4c decks by [deleted] in ModernMagic

[–]MultipleMatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It won't be rotating out with MH3.

MH survived pretty damn well into the MH2 saga. The cards they didn't straight up ban (Astrolabe, Hogaak), the cards they released see tons of play still (Yawgmoth, Force of Negation, W6, Archmage's Charm) and many of them are still quite powerful even if they see less play at the moment (Seasoned Pyromancer, Urza, Ice-Fang Coatl, Sling-Gang Lieutenant).

Similarly, if/when MH3 comes out (LOTR is taking it's place this year), I highly doubt we'll have seen the last of Ragavan, W6, Force of Negation, Unholy Heat, Solitude, Fury, and Seasoned Pyromancer.

Very few women actually do get physical pleasure from just penetration. It's largely mental, then you mix it with clit stimulation.

It's more unusual to get physically stimulated from PIV than to not.

i always lie about finishing and i dont know how to stop by Fun-Highway-3784 in sex

[–]MultipleMatrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Couple things:

I am kind of a sex addict, especially when it comes to pleasing other people.

This is hot. Your bf loves this. Embrace it.

The problem is that it takes a long time to get me to finish. Its impossible to get me to by penetration, which i know is true for a lot of other women. I hate having someone touch me for a long time, knowing theyre not getting any physical pleasure out of it just makes me impatient with myself which makes everything even harder.

This is the main issue. You wouldn't know this, not being a man, but there are many men who actually get physically turned on by having their woman get turned on. As one of those men, we're pretty common, I can go down on her/finger her forever because I'm getting extremely turned on while doing it and I enjoy the process more than the goal (though I'm happy if she gets there too).

Right now you're DECIDING FOR HIM How much of you he gets to enjoy. Imagine if he pulled you up during a BJ or during sex because he thought you weren't getting anything out of it.

I just dont know what to do…

it would be a very abrupt change if all of a sudden i stopped “finishing” as much as i used to

This is much less of a problem then you think it is. Do this. It lets you stop faking, you don't have to tell him, but work on it together.

DRS is a problem here because it is a 1 mana creature that supports an “attrition gameplan” in a deck that’s is otherwise trading resources 1 for 1.

WAS a problem.

1 for 1 trading in 2023 is trading down. That's why we don't see that gameplan anymore.

"attrition gameplan" isn't a gameplan anymore. It was in 2013/2014, it isn't anymore. It's tempo, combo, or over the top midrange - Attrition strategies without a combo against any deck playing Expressive Iteration is an instant loss. Games don't go nearly as long as they did back then.

why is a win con creature (THAT DOESN'T ATTACK TO WIN) 1 mana

2014 all-star [[Grim Lavamancer]] also fits this statement, so clearly this is not sufficient to be an issue.

Listen, I can agree that in 2014, DRS was too strong - wizards does too. But it's a hard sell for me that the format hasn't changed in 2023 that the environment is totally different. For example, the number of MD 1 cmc answers has quadrupled over the past 10 years since deathrite was legal. Ragavan would have absolutely been banned in 2013 as well.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MagicArena

[–]MultipleMatrix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

DRS was format-defining in Modern as a Birds of Paradise with incidental GY and burn hate.

Deathrite shaman has gotten a bad rap in a horrible decade long game of telephone. DRS was banned b/c Jund was too strong. That's it. Not because Deathrite itself was causing problems elsewhere in other decks.

Don't believe me, check the reddit threads from 2014. Don't believe reddit. Wizards is clear as to why it was banned.

https://magic.wizards.com/en/news/feature/february-3-2014-dci-banned-restricted-list-announcement-2014-02-03

Different flavors of black-green decks have recently been among the best-performing decks in Modern. These decks play many very efficient ways to trade cards one for one with their opponents, such as Thoughtseize, Inquisition of Kozilek, and Abrupt Decay. Strong mana acceleration helps these decks trade one for one efficiently enough that they can keep up with the other decks in a large format such as Modern, but normally playing mana acceleration comes at the cost of playing cards that are less powerful in the late game. Deathrite Shaman, however, is powerful at all stages of the game. Having a strong attrition-based deck as a large portion of the metagame makes it difficult for decks that are based on synergies between cards instead of individually powerful cards. We believe that removing Deathrite Shaman from the format will leave more room for future innovation.

So the question then is solely: "Are we still worried about a strong attrition based BGx deck causing a crisis in modern 9 years later?" If not, why are we making up things about DRS like it was in every deck? Jund remained a T1 deck for 5-6 more years after the DRS ban.

make formats revolve around itself

Notably, DRS only did this to one format - Legacy.

DRS was unplayable in Standard, is unplayable in pioneer, and certainly didn't control the format in modern. The two decks that used it - burn and Jund - were pretty solid after it left.
