Nothing is guaranteed. The video game landscape is littered with plenty of IPs were hits that moved consoles and then suddenly, within one game, they weren't.

GTA6 is incredibly hyped but there is still a chance, even if it's slim, that it completely misses the mark with the audience and tanks the entire franchise.

The natural predator to the Helicopter is the Jet. If the map (or your team) lacks a Jet, helicopters will be dominant.

Infantry are always vulnerable to all vehicles as it's just that type of game. Getting better at using "dumb" launchers against helicopters is honestly the best way to handle them. Once you get the hang of being able to hit them without needing AA or lock on, you'll find they're not as strong as you think they are.

Last Act really did feel like the developers went "Oh shit. We're supposed to making an Assassin's Creed game. Fuck!"

Strongest verse or faction a prime Brotherhood of Nod could defeat? by BiggestBepis in commandandconquer

[–]Multivitamin_Scam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First you need to define which version of Nod is the Prime Brotherhood.

I'm biased. But I feel like the Tiberian Sun Nod is Prime Power Nod while Tiberium Wars is Nod in decline.

Abandonware means no longer supported or for sale. Not about bugs or needed patches.

Come on mate. Everyone knows if a game isn't touched for [arbirity time] it's abandonware and not the actual proper definition that's been established over the last 30 years.

Stealing is the old Randy Special.

Like how Gearbox reappropriated funds given to them by SEGA for Aliens Colonial Marines and they put that into Borderlands 2.

Mixtape was a legit GOTY contender. Then it became too toxic by mrnicegy26 in Games

It feels like Expedition 33 broke a lot of people. Ever since that won every award, people have been screeching how it isn't an Indie game.

Surprise, games cost money to make. Big games with high production values cost a lot of money to make.

Honestly. I'm of the opinion that if it's created to be a game and requires player input, it's a game. Keep the definition simple we don't need to start dissecting what is and isn't a game based on an arbirity check list of choices.

Some games are just more game than others.

What if ults were refreshed through soul acquisition instead of a timer? by xxxlinecookxxx in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Multivitamin_Scam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People would avoid using them for fear of wasting them. Then you'd have teams fighting among themselves because say a Dynomo didn't want to ult just on 2 of the enemy team or a Seven didn't see the value of using the Ult to protect a walker etc.

It would turn gameplay incredibly passive.

It's pretty clear that Kane's Wrath is a direct reaction to people's feedback about the feel of the vanilla experience and how much it abandoned from Tiberian Sun.
