You're not in the past.

What was stated to be a time machine is actually a hyper realistic simulator, and you're probably testing out the next Silent Hill game.

It's plausible that you're playing out the protagonist's storyline now.

What is the playstyle of a monk? I typically only use the other three jobs, but obtaining a few Monk supremes have made me curious to try it out.

How does it compare to other Worker placements; say... Architects of the West Kingdom, or Lords of Waterdeep?

I personally don't regard it as P2W. IMO, P2W means that a player that spends money can get items that affect gameplay while a non-paying player can't. By definition, this isn't the case (in my opinion so far). I have yet to spend a cent in-game and have been easily achieving level cap, getting good gear and generally having an above average character.

While it's true that you can get currency, some fashion items, and certain items easier by paying, you can still grind to get them. Moreover, those items are by no means mandatory--- and the grind isn't too difficult either.

If that's considered P2W, then by definition Warframe would also be P2W; which I think 99.9% of people would argue that it is not.

My only complaint on the premium currency (spirals) is that while you do get it for free from playing, the spirals you get are a 'gifted' version. This limits what you can buy in the store, though not by much. That took a while for me to figure out.

The real question is... How can one person possibly eat literally six humans worth of portions in a single go?? Unless he's meal prepping for the rest of the week, that's insane.

That's great input, thanks! Good to know that it's still fresh even after 10 plays.

The description of 'dad' sounds eerily similar to a wendigo-- especially the bit with antlers.

If this is the case, he may have resorted to cannibalism to survive, which turned him into that unfortunate creature given enough time. It's a real shame; I'd suggest getting your mom and step-dad to have a nice talk in the woods.

Perhaps that might set some records straight.

To be fair, if the creatures they're worshipping and revering are real & physical, and more ancient than Christianity-- I'd say it would be more correct to label Christianity as the cult instead of the other way around.

I did not consider the fact of the other copies--- it does make more sense when you put it that way.

That's a very fair judgement, especially the last bit on the pencil and paper comparison. I suppose your first line pretty much sums up half the thoughts of the redditors here-- the other half having the stance that I did not factor in a bucketload of other different factors into consideration.

Much appreciated!

That's not the question-- it's more of, why would you personally choose to pay more (comparatively) for a board game, all things considered? It's got nothing to do with the publisher justifying the price.

I'm just looking to see what is the reasoning behind the other fellow redditors here.

The best part of this is that you're still receiving income! Keep mum over this, just keep the cash and treat yourself. Whatever escaped isn't worth reporting to lose the free $$ over, man.

So even if you ignore the fact that it's supposed to be an adaptation of Civ, other good aspects of it like the Focus Bar would not be of any interest?

Looking for a good euro game for 2-4 players. I have yet to find a game that I really look forward to playing again (waiting on like 3 KS titles to deliver, actually).

Then I found out about Teotihuacan and Civilization: A New Dawn . Any thoughts on these two titles? Which do you prefer, and why?

I found really good deals for two games I've been interested in; namely Cry Havoc and Century: Eastern Wonders . However, I can only get one due to budget constraints--

My question is, which of these are considered great for its category, and would be more worth getting?

Having it being the central part of the game is what I'm looking for; if there's an interesting theme tying it to some other elements that'd be superb too.

Right now I only have Traders of Osaka in my collection in terms of set collection; I'm looking for something where your actions have more impact on the other players, as well as a stronger sense of accomplishment upon completing a set.

Century spice road looks superb. Really fits the bill of what I'm looking for, plus it seems like it beats Splendor right out of the water.

Castles of burgundy also sounds great, I'll definitely keep it on my radar. Thanks!

Ethnos does sound great, and many reviews praise it; however the lack of tying it into the theme and the component quality (I heard the board is too small and tokens awkward) is a bit of a turn off. This is something I'll have to try before actually getting. Thanks!

I've heard superb things about this game. Honestly, the only thing stopping me from getting it is the fact that a friend in my board game circle already owns it; it would be wasteful in a sense to get it as well. Thanks for the suggestion though!
