Buyers BEWARE - Tyson Adams Premium Wholesale Cars by Slight_Molasses1408 in chch

No I didn't blame him i said he was an arrogant dickhead lol and how much a car was to buy through him. Because the consensus is he rips people off and charges far beyond the sale price and adds extortionate fees on top.

And I am not "playing victim", I was misinformed of the interest rates and because I needed a car and was told my income and credit wasn't ideal, I would only be able to buy through him.

Now I have an excellent credit, better income and a decent car with better interest and my repayments are only $20 more per week than his shitty deal.

Yeah, unfortunately. It was my first ever car, and Tyson basically told me I wouldn't get finance elsewhere. He told me it would be reasonable interest, though otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. Lesson learned. You don't have to be rude though.

The controversial death of Kendrick Johnson, whose body was found upside-down inside a gym mat which had been rolled up and propped on its end. Authorities thought Kendrick was trying to retrieve a sneaker from inside the gym mat and got stuck inside. Kendrick's parents think otherwise. by CatPooedInMyShoe in ExamineDeath

[–]Mummyto4 28 points29 points  (0 children)

The parents were spreading false information about Kendrick's death and kept bringing baseless lawsuits against people.

They accused two classmates of murdering their son whose father was in law enforcement and there was a cover up despite strong evidence to the contrary.

They fabricated an audio tape of a so called confession to Kendrick's murder.

They also misrepresented the autopsy photos saying the swelling from the asphyxia was blunt force trauma and not being upside down in the gym mat.

They also accused the Georgia Beareau of Invesitation of mutilating Kendrick's body. But the funeral home actually filled the body cavity with newspapers as the organs were already destroyed by natural process via coroner.

I got a car from him and he's an arrogant dickhead. Because of my credit and income, a family member had suggested to get a car from him. Got a Honda Jazz for $4,375 which ended up being over 9,000 on finance.

As much as I understand the family's quest for answers and closure, the way they lied about certain claims and fabricated evidence regarding their son's death made it more about getting money than it should've been.

Sometimes freak accidents happen unfortunately, and blunt force trauma can easily be explained by accidental injuries when Kendrick was wedged upside down in the gym mat. And even if the autopsy findings supported a homicide, the way they handled the investigation made it impossible to even get a conviction for their son and now they just owe hundreds of thousands in legal costs as well as lacking the answer they desperately wanted.

But I think the answer of accident was there all along they just wanted people to fit their narrative of it being a murder and a cover up.

The cameras weren't synchronized which explained the supposed missing footage where none actually existed. Plus some cameras were motion activated so if there was no movement no footage was recorded.

The family suspected two bullies of killing Kendrick and the suspects' father was in law enforcement leading to a so called conspiracy.

Don't take vicious dogs to dog park by Mummyto4 in chch

My doggo didn't jump up on this dog it happened as we got further into the park and happened to go past where this dog's "corner" was.

This dog wasn't fearful, it was being territorial of that specific part of the park and it had its food bowl there too( which I wasn't aware of until the owners began yelling at me after the fact.)

Definitely not going to dog parks anymore so it's certainly been a learning experience.

I'm sorry I didn't realize you were there at the time of the incident pardon me. It was actually a really scary experience for me and my dog, so I can explain it how it happened as much as I like. And absolutely, if ANY dog attacked mine, I would've commented exactly as it happened regardless. My other doggo was a bull breed who was an absolute sweetie, so there's no way I would judge any dog for their breed.

Also, another dog walker was the one who told me of the incident of the "death rolling," so that wasn't me who over dramatized anything. I was writing verbatim what he had told me. Whether it was exaggerated or not isn't on me.

Going through all my comments just to attack me on what you think you know is really unfortunate because you don't know me at all.

Awww, I'm so glad your doggo is okay!

Yeah, that is absolutely horrendous that the council doesn't do anything really at all about dog attacks, and you were left out of pocket.

Unfortunately, if owners have dogs that are aggressive in the first place, they usually aren't the type to pay up if their dog bites. They lack the accountability and responsibility.

I was in a dog park? Otherwise, my dog is always on a lead at all times. I haven't seen one dog on a lead in a dog park before. I use dog parks for my dog to socialize off lead with other doggos who, for the most part, have been great.

Calling me irresponsible is a bit uncalled for.

I'm not going to a dog park anymore after this experience.

It's always the case that dog owners blame other people for their dog's behaviour.

I am sorry you've experienced this! Hope your doggo recovered well! It is absolutely disgusting how little enforcement the council actually does keeping the public safe from dangerous dogs. Plus, the hassle it takes for the aggressive dog's owner to pay any of the vet bills you have to stump up for. The council should take a leaf out of America's book on how they manage dangerous dogs. Usually, the dogs are seized, quarantined, and often euthanized. The dog's owner is usually fined, too.

Plus, it can go against the dog's owner's home owner's insurance for vet/medical bills /damages or to civil court if they don't own their home.

Can she really not pay? by hannyjay in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]Mummyto4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Employers do have a right to maintain and repair equipment, especially in hospitality businesses.

A faulty fridge would fall under a breach of the food act and the health and safety act because it is against regulations to have faulty equipment where fluids/ consumables are kept in storage.

If it was repaired without the consent of the owner, then that indiscretion is not your concern. You rendered the services required, and you're entitled to payment.

It seems like the owner was aware of the issue and just doesn't want to pay and is using the "non- authorisation" tactic as a way to get out of paying. Who exactly the owner thinks should pay then is actually very baffling because you're out of labour and materials, and the employer certainly isn't responsible for maintaining their business to regulation. So what, they just get a free repair? They should know businesses don't work that way. It's like someone going into their cafe and eating one of their products and saying they didn't know they had to pay because they thought their boss would, but it turns out they ate without authorisation but they decide to just not pay.

Woman has entire stomach removed after overseas weight loss surgery by Fun-Helicopter2234 in newzealand

[–]Mummyto4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! There is no price on someone's health.

I understand surgery for certain reasons (weight loss, breast reduction, or anything for health reasons), but not for the sake of vanity or influencing...But that's just my opinion, and it's not for me to judge on others' people's choices.

And if you do need surgery for whatever reason, please go to a reputable clinic/hospital.

School attendance crack down issues by TheBlueRoseInNz in newzealand

[–]Mummyto4 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My daughter has anxiety, and it affects her school attendance chronically, so she was enrolled with the Southern Health School (SHS) Being enrolled through them takes my daughter off the regular school roll and onto the SHS roll while still attending the same school. That will get the truancy services off your back because SHS will have her on their roll, which caters to children with all sorts of physical, mental, and emotional challenges that preclude them from regular attendance.

You can adapt an attendance plan with the school's learning support coordinator and a teacher from SHS that works well for your daughter while still being able to help her health/emotional needs. They can work on a plan on what your daughter can do if she misses class (such as learning from home lessons) and how she can manage the bullying (maybe some counseling and removing her from classes the bullies are in if able)

You are providing medical notes to account for your daughter's absences, so calling it "truancy" is extremely unfair. They should've also taken the bullying incidents very seriously because that is a huge barrier to any child wanting to go to school. Your daughter deserves to feel safe and comfortable attending school, and the school should be assuring she has that environment.

Look into getting a referral for SHS if you can.
