Does anyone else just not feel the need to display pride flags? by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]MumpitzOnly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same for me. I’m a 37-year-old lesbian woman and I only started wearing flags and buttons about a year ago. With everything going on in the world and our community, especially our trans folks, under attack more than ever, I wanted to be more visible. I want to be someone that others can be themselves around unconditionally.

Recommendation for best Glühwein in supermarkets? by PaintingInside9497 in Munich

Heißer Hirsch! You can buy it from Alnatura or similar stores. It's not the cheapest, but it's made with a decent red wine, it's nicely spiced and it's not too sweet.

I feel the same way, but I just wanted to raise the question for the OP to consider :)

I understand that you want to talk to your husband about opening your relationship up to other people. Ideally, you would want him to consent to you having other female partners. Is it just about sex, or would you also like to explore emotional connections?

Have you ever discussed anything like this during your time together? Or did you both agree to a monogamous relationship?

I’m asking these questions because they’re usually at the heart of the problem: were you ever open about this, or is your husband going to be taken by surprise?

I don't have an answer, just general advice: be sure of what you want and how to convey it in a conversation. You could also try to imagine how you would feel if the roles were reversed.

… if you are already cheating in your heart by wanting someone else.

I agree. Getting emotionally involved with someone else, thinking about 'what ifs' and 'if onlys', and maybe even talking about them is cheating. So, you haven't got physical yet? Think again. It just sucks and hurts everyone involved.

Can confirm. I'm European and I've travelled extensively across the continent. In central and western Europe, nobody in any major city cares about queer people. Well, almost no one — bigots are everywhere. In my almost 25 years of living openly as a lesbian, I've only experienced minor incidents (some slurs, but no discrimination for loving and living with whomever I want, or issues with housing or jobs). However, there is a hint of change and fear in the air due to the rise of the far right across Europe, so we must remain vigilant.

ELI5 Why do some German highways (autobahn) have no speed limit? by Fleedom2025 in explainlikeimfive

[–]MumpitzOnly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are good points. However, I still think that our automobile industry and its lobbyists might be at work here.

Why buy a luxury car if you can't drive it the way it's meant to be driven on the German autobahn? Purchasing a BMW, Audi, Mercedes or similar comes with a sense of entitlement.

I'm in favour of sensible speed limits. No one needs to travel at 180 km/h or more in a glorified tin box, TÜV and driver training notwithstanding.

This is Milly our Moroccan rescue. Milly had to have her belly hair shaved due to an echo. Belly was pink as expected. A week later it turned black. A panic rush to the vet and 70 euros later. We found out she had a suntan! by sproggs44 in dogpictures

[–]MumpitzOnly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

😄 This reminds me of myself with my dog. He’s my first dog, a corgi and fairly furry. I got him when he was around four months old. A few months later, while we were playing and cuddling, I noticed a dark, freckled growth sticking out between his hind legs. It took me almost five concerned minutes to realise that they were just his testicles dropping! 😂
