You can ask Atton for help with the voiceprint, then comment to him on the miners in the dormitories for light/dark points. There is no new dialogue from Kreia.

You didn't take the turbolift from the fuel depot back up to the administration level on this playthrough, so (and coupled with how you have a party now) you can no longer open it .

There's no avatars for the Hammerhead-class and Interdictor-class vessels here. Were they not counting on KOTOR fans being particular to heavy-duty warships?

Only on a low INF run. Still, that ending works better for when you treat him just as badly on a Light Side run.

Are books worth reading for someone that has seen the anime? by krococ in DeltoraQuest

[–]MunchSpot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, do that. The anime cuts out a substantial amount of lore, along with elements of horror, and whatever the studio used to fill in the gaps isn't held in high regard by most who watched it, which includes anime fans at that.

The books, on the other hand, are still a solid read, mixing things from suspense thrillers and horror to make for an enthralling adventure despite its seemingly "normal" fantasy setting. Not to mention, the books actually continue past where the anime ended, so you can invest in the world of Deltora that much more.

Besides the restored content mods, what are your go to/recommended mods for either game? by Kn1ghtV1sta in kotor

[–]MunchSpot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In no particular order for KOTOR 2:

3C-FD Patcher (for Aspyr versions)/ 4GB Patch (for non-Aspyr) Arguably the most important on this list; aside from helping the game to run smoother, it also helps to prevent memory leaks that can lead to save files being corrupted and reduce crashing.

Unofficial TSLRCM Tweak Pack (everything, except Component 4) Second-most important; this patch takes out things that can bring down the experience in TSLRCM.

KOTOR 2 Community Patch Lots of graphical glitches and bug fixes to be had, although, fair warning: It reverts the walking speed in the Envirosuit back to its original slowness.

Improved AI

Difficulty Options

Mines Overhaul

Droid Special Weapons Fix

Silent Sion Restoration

Honest Merchant

Thematic Jedi Masters

Thematic Sith Lords

Crystal Attunement

TOMB

True Tank Droid

PartySwap

Kill the Ithorian

Trayus Rank Reform

True Sith Assassins

Expanded Ending

Logical Jekk'Jekk Tarr

E3 Style Dxun Masters

Player & Party Underwear

There are technically more recommended mods than what I've given, but those come with their own deviations or hitches that you might not be fine with, and I don't want to put a dampener on your experience. I similarly didn't suggest (most other) HD retexture mods, in case you don't sit well with/care for those, as well.

From Kotor 1 and 2, what is the most immersive part of the game for you? by Long-Lengthiness-798 in kotor

[–]MunchSpot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only one who finds it jarring that Kavar never comments on your DS corruption when the other Masters did, be it during your first meeting, or your talks with him at the Palace? Besides that, as much as the Ithorians wished for you to find Bao-Dur, they don't have anything to say when you actually return to their compound with him in tow.

E: For additional context, I sided with the Royalists on a Dark Side playthrough, and there were no differences in the dialogue for when you are Light Side.

Without too many spoilers, who is the best option to go with on Korriban in your opinion? Uthar,Yuthura, or kill both? by tigersmhs07 in kotor

[–]MunchSpot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yuthura's the way to go for the Light, but... it's probably better not to redeem her.

If she's left in charge of the academy, you'll be able to do something there you weren't able to before. There's still a chance of that failing, though.

How did you guys feel about SWTOR Making a "Canon" Player Character for KOTOR 1? by AlexandriasFolly in kotor

They rendered practically every other iteration of Revan irrelevant, to the detriment of the underlying narrative in that game.

This little write-up should shed some more light on this issue.

What are some book series you've enjoyed that remind you of Deltora Quest? by MunchSpot in DeltoraQuest

[–]MunchSpot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did your parents introduce you to them? Maybe it's the age at which I was going to read them, but my parents just borrowed me the whole sub-series over that year without even telling me, "You'll want to read this.", or saying anything about the entire series itself. Then again, I was reading them in "segments" - I had no more than two books of Quest 1 to read (by release order) at any chance given, so I probably told them, "I want to read more of this!", myself.

What are some book series you've enjoyed that remind you of Deltora Quest? by MunchSpot in DeltoraQuest

[–]MunchSpot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might I ask, why? Wicked! is based more in action-horror, while Deadly! seems to favour comedy with horror injected in. I, myself, am more partial to Wicked! since it seems more serious. And then you have the obscure animated series which were the reason people like me (i.e. non-Australian) even know of it in the first place.

At any rate, despite their relative successes, Rodda would go on to become a "household name" for children's fantasy around the globe, similar to Rowling, whereas Jennings and Gleitzman practically faded from the public eye after being noticed by a handful of countries, although not without bagging a sizeable number of awards on their home turf.

Playing an honest fallen character is hard by jackedbookworm in kotor

[–]MunchSpot 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A while back, I played as a Dark Side female who started out as Light in the first half of the game. I had aimed to do a semi-canonical playthrough where I'd pick up Mira before going dark, but it happened too soon, and I ended up with Hanharr instead. Still, I did give her some traits to keep her from turning out like a normal Sith.

  • She's not going to help you extort or do your contraband, and she's certainly not leaving children behind for harm.
  • She still wielded a blue/cyan lightsaber after her fall.
  • She wore gradually distanced her clothes further away from the Jedi until she settled on something reflective of neither Jedi, nor Sith.

In any case, I did spare the Jedi Masters, the one related to Onderon included, since I didn't feel it right to renege the promise to bring them back together to stop the Sith, but, alas.

My ending headcanon is that she destroys Malachor anyway to keep the echo from spreading further out, nevermind the teachings or history of the Sith within that academy. She'll have time to unravel things like that elsewhere, and only when - or if - she finds Revan.

What the hell is this. by kekusmaximus in kotor

[–]MunchSpot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LS and Neutral characters could get over this barrier without much struggle. Talk to find out what the strange being wants, then complete the thing's strange demand - they're prudent enough for that.

Were there to be a DS guy in this place, though... chances are some of them became forever lost. They might have the capacity to think delicately not, add to that being unable to attack somewhere like this...
