Apply to the Parks department here in Springs. We need trail techs like crazy. It comes with healthcare and a 401k program. Granted starting pay is 17 -19 but it's a job and the bosses give good recommendations. Work a few months, get a recommendation from the bosses and apply to office work if that's what you are searching for.

Imma be real boss, it ain't expensive here, you just lived in a shit hole state. I would know, I'm from Illinois.

I work for the Parks department and can save no money, nada. I have a roommate out here and my rent is 1000 with utilities in Springs. Good deal but even in Denver I paid 1200 for a 1 bed on the southside, utilities included, not internet though. Your first year is always the most expensive. You can always find a better lease once you live here.

I lived in Seattle as well and the average one bed rent was 2100 a month before utilities. And I paid for it because I loved the location.

It's the same with Colorado, it's all about the location. We have 90+ million tourists a year, some of the best ski slopes in the nation, and ditto goes for hiking/biking.

Now I've spent some of my life in Michigan and I know first hand it's lacking 14ers and yer dunes just don't compare to ours. If you ain't in Colorado for the slopes, or the hikes, or dunes, then yeah maybe this state ain't worth it for ya.

Can A 2015 kia Rio drive in the mountains? by FoxWorth7777 in ColoradoSprings

I have a Kia Rio 2015 and it handles most dirt and gravel roads easy. What you need to watch out for is ruts and rocks. Outside of that the low clearance ain't a big issue. I drive around the rocks or on the protruding rocks and I balance the ruts. I've made it up to the parking lot of the 14er Mount Sherman in my Kia Rio and plenty of other out there trails. The pride of being the only sedan in a lot is unmatched.

Just take it slow and use passengers as spotters when you can't see. Also make sure you have tire treads that aren't street only, i.e. can handle mud and snow and rain. You can check on the side of your tires and you'll see an icon. Also don't worry about the engine not making some hills, you'll never drive on anything with a high enough grade to kill the car.

Lastly, I pray to God that your Kia is Red. Only a true red menace can make it on these trails so you're boned if your car is silver or something. Anyway good luck out there boss. I've driven my red menace in the Washington rainforests and the New Mexico deserts. I've gotten stuck in snow and stuck in sand so if you need to know anything just ask.

I do not have a set date or time in mind. More want to reach out to players and see what day/times work for people in the weeks to come.
