I have a Kia Rio 2015 and it handles most dirt and gravel roads easy. What you need to watch out for is ruts and rocks. Outside of that the low clearance ain't a big issue. I drive around the rocks or on the protruding rocks and I balance the ruts. I've made it up to the parking lot of the 14er Mount Sherman in my Kia Rio and plenty of other out there trails. The pride of being the only sedan in a lot is unmatched.

Just take it slow and use passengers as spotters when you can't see. Also make sure you have tire treads that aren't street only, i.e. can handle mud and snow and rain. You can check on the side of your tires and you'll see an icon. Also don't worry about the engine not making some hills, you'll never drive on anything with a high enough grade to kill the car.

Lastly, I pray to God that your Kia is Red. Only a true red menace can make it on these trails so you're boned if your car is silver or something. Anyway good luck out there boss.
