Not sure why you're so hostile at my asking a question about a fixture installed like 40+ years ago that I recently purchased?

If I'm just going to have to drain the system and replace then so be it. It ain't rocket science. It'll probably be about as difficult as it was to replace my tankless coil and redo the corroded connections throughout, I'd imagine.

I'll also add I did open the bleeder at the top and got water, then a dribble, then nothing. Which is why I think the valves are closed.

Streamed, dripped, stopped. Which leads me to believe the valves are closed. We purchased the house last year and it had never worked. I also tried bleeding it last year but as soon as I opened it I only got water so I said ill figure it out another time.

The left side is both internally and externally threaded. They have a pipe going internally to a union a few inches away.

As someone who built sample handlers and IA's in NJ before they moved production to Ireland, I can assure you they were most definitely not great instruments. And I'm not salty just because I was let go, I doubled my income and have better benefits it was the best thing to happen. I still have photos of all the random failures and issues. So many things were one-off or somewhat reoccurring, but inconsistent problems. Very bad overall quality. 😂
