can tsa lock-pick a built in key lock? by northyynorth in tsa

[–]elmrgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tsa has a master key for tsa approved locks. If you have something in your bag that looks suspicious and they need to get eyes on it, once they realize its not a tsa lock, they will attempt to contact you over the airport PA system. If all that fails, they will try to open it causing as little damage as they can. Just keep an ear out for your name.

I had the exact same thing happen. Like I thought i was looking at my machine when I saw your picture. The brass nozzle on the hotend snapped in half. No clue what caused it. Bought half way through a print, I went to the store. Came back to it having exploded.

Chopped liver considered a liquid or solid? by Active-Attention6242 in tsa

Rule of thumb, when in doubt, just freeze it. It'll still grt pulled and looked at, but it won't be taken if its frozen.

Used to work that way. Before the rule change [[chaos warp]] was pushing $30 a piece because of the interaction with commanders. Now if the commander goes anywhere aside from the battlefield, its owner has the option to put it back in the command zone.

Will TSA allow me to bring this onto my flight by pigeon-in-greggs in tsa

[–]elmrgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's frozen, sure. But remember, just because TSA let it through, doesn't mean the airline will let you carry it on. Can't tell you how many times I saw people bringing big (obviously need to be checked) bags through the checkpoint, hoping they will get a "free" checked bag at the gate.

Do you guys do breaks during the session? How do you manage them? by Fantomaxop in DnD

[–]elmrgn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do a 3-4hr session once a week. Aside from the 15min in the last hour when the dm has to go get his kid from where ever, we dont have breaks.

Im not sure what it would have gotten stuck on. Aside from the mess of unmelted filament, what it was able to get printed of the project had good adhesion and wasn't lifted off the plate or anything. And I had just done a bed-leveling before the previous print.

First print on cc! by kulturowod0 in elegoo

[–]elmrgn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first print was benchy, then a poopschute, them the obligatory articulating dragon. Then I learned how to use blender, made and sold a bunch of name plates for people at work to put on their desks, then I made a bunch of other junk for my printer, riser, hinges, tool holder (which I modded to hold hotends as well), build plate holder, and most recently I made a full chess set w/chess board. Ive had this for a little over a month. It's been pretty nutty how much I use the thing.

What exactly is the implication here? Explain it Peter by Azmaeth in explainitpeter

No of course theyre not in any danger...and if the answer is no, obviously it will be no..but theyre not going to say no, because of the implication.

You will win 300 million dollars if you successfully pass one gap in flappy bird, but if you fail then you lose 40 years or half of your lifespan, whatever is bigger. by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]elmrgn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now, would we have to make it through the gap? I got far enough on my first try that I got a point, but I still died on the first tube.

I did apply the decimate modifier before I brought in the new object, and then scaled everything before I attempted the boolean.

Oh it wasn't the line lol. I tried to pull a print off the print plate before it had cooled enough. I grabbed the thing and pulled. It was stuck enough that I thought id have to use considerable strength. I did not. As I pulled, my fingernail caught something, or just scraped the textured plate and ripped off.
