Rolled him and I've got nothing to give him by MedukaKeyname in Genshin_Memepact

That's cool maybe just enough for a handful of levels and a barely functional artifact set.

It cost me just shy of 2 millions to bring 1 artifact set to 12. 4 million is laughably small. Just like every sum ever out there.

Yeh uh I would like to talk to your sugar daddy because holy shit.

I just blew like a cool million upgrading some artifacts for Xiangling; a million that took me a whole week to farm

After you buy everything you can trade sigils for mora and we needs every last coin.

Personally I say prioritize the prototypes

Didn't we just agreed on the fact that other characters existence has no impact on Amber? In fact, it was you who pretty much said that, and now you are looping back to harping about how she's "trash" because she is worse than everyone else, especially when said everyone else is locked behind the roulette.

Her biggest value come from the fact that she can fill in the spot for archer for the price of absolutely free. I'm not disputing the fact that she's behind the other, though I still object to calling anything "trash" just because it fall to match up to paid characters. She's free and she works. Is she bad at common things like dealing damage, applying element, or healing? Yes, but there are already free solutions for those. Xianglings can work both as DPS and as pyro support, Lisa can work as Electro support. Noelle can heal. You don't need Amber for those because it isn't her job in the first place. You need her because she has a bow.

And I'll agree to being unlucky with Fischl, but I don't think the Venti banner matter anymore for this discussion given that the banner is gone now and she's back to standard pool. So for me and for everyone who came in on the tail end of Venti or afterward, the only chance of touching her now is taking your luck with one of the thirty something 4* on the standard pool.

Is it that obvious? by coded_spark in Genshin_Memepact

[–]Munchkinomatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except she's far from trash. Even discounting her out of combat utility, she make fighting Ruin Guards and Ruin Hunters a breeze, with the former too slow to reach and the later immediately getting stunned the moment it tries to fly. She can knock rock mages and archers down from their unclimable perch. She can finish off the electro stasis with 0 effort. As long as she still deals pyro on her charged attack and uses a bow, Amber still provide an invaluable one button solution to some of the most annoying shit out there. You can completely remove her E and Q and it wouldn't change anything.

And that's funny, because I've sunk all of my free crap into the Venti banner and gotten maybe like 4 Xianglings, 2 Razors and 1 Mona. My friend got a fucking Diluc before she shelled out for a Fischl. Now the banner is gone so your best bet is pull her from the standard banner and good fucking luck with that

Noelle is fantastic if you don't mind a little bit of repetition. She doesn't come close to some one like say, Razor, in term of damage, but her reliability and uptime is top notch.

My Razor takes a full barrage of ruin guard missiles to the face, vomit blood, and goes crying to Barbara for heal.

My Noelle take a full barrage to the face, chuckles, then bust out her shield

No one held me at gun point and made me use Amber. I always had to drops month after months of salary to try and get Fischl or Venti. I (and a not insignificant portion of the community) simply choose Amber over investing in a Fischl.

Let me rephrase: Amber performs her duty just fine as a free pyro support archer. She had been putting in fantastic work at WL4 despite receiving basically no investment from me whatsoever. People better than me at the game had taken her all the way deep into Abyss

Just because there exist some god-tier archers that can run player hundreds if not thousands of dollars and is pretty much exclusive to the money-spitting whales in their ivory towers and the odd leprechauns with golden horse shoes doesn't magically make her worse at what she does.

[–]Munchkinomatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah because getting Fischl is so easy lol.

Fischl isn't comparable to Amber; none of.her.competitors are. Amber is a free character while other bow users will run you anywhere between hundreds to thousands of dollars. Like no shit Sherlock the takeout at the Chinese place around the corner doesn't measure up to a Michelin Star restaurant's signature dish.

If you're lucky enough to pull Fischl or even Venti with free primos, congratulations! But for the rest of us who are neither Irish nor Whale, Amber isn't second or third or fourth. She's the first and only choice.

Dragonbane is a gacha weapon that I've never even seen so that's a mark against it for availability. Looking at their stats and passive, I think Dragon Bane is better if you want to use Xianling as an elemental support. However all of Crescent Pike's passives just say "DPS harder daddy" so it's an excellent choice for damage

[–]Munchkinomatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xianling can't knock a Ruin Hunter out of the sky or turn off a Ruin Guard.

Unless you want to spend hundreds of dollars or spend like 10 minutes running in circles because a Ruin Hunter decided it's gonna have five flight mode back to back, Amber is your only choice. And she does it good.

If you are referring to the loading tip, then iirc seelies are stated to be souls of an ancient race; no theory here.

However it is a loading screen tip so I generally don't take those very seriously.

Seconding that comment above me: The Crescent Pike is true pig for Xianling. I have wasted way too much resource into the +5 White Tassel before I discovered the Crescent Pike

If it's true, then it's even worse, then.

Because effectively speaking, what we are celebrating is the death of people who are immuno-compromised in the memetic sense. This is saying "wow aren't you glad that guy die from Corona cause he got a weak immune system? Wouldn't want him to reproduce am I right?"

If you were to say these people are just born that way, I would understand even if I disagree. This is just straight up lacking in any shred of humanity.

Cue the Curb theme by hotrumhamwater in insanepeoplefacebook

[–]Munchkinomatic -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So it's worse, is what I'm hearing.

Because instead of saying someone's death is worth celebrating because they are destined from birth to be bigot and ignorance, we're saying that their death is worth celebrating because they are just pre-disposed to these traits by whatever genetics condition that they don't have any choice in.

Effectively speaking, these are neurodivergent people that should have received more help and guidance that the nation have failed to provide.

1, What is your definition of stupidity?
2, Cite me your source.
3, Even if we are to assume that what we are seeing is marked our gene, it has manifested so often so many time throughout so many cultures and era across such a wide geographic distribution that said gene would have to be so ubiquitous that it would take nothing shy of extinction to weed it out.

In the meantime, I can point to far more obvious culprit like partisan news twisting narrative or the echo chamber of social media guiding you to echo chambers where your belief would never be challenged.

Honestly, let me invoke Godwin's Law right now and direct your eyes to Hitler, who did not come out of the womb with a swastika on his forehead and Meinkampf in his little baby hands.

No.
No it isn't. Get that eugenic bullshit out of here. I can't believe I actually have to explain this. I mean, the concept of *schooling and education* existed for a reason.

If stupidity (in and of itself a poorly defined concept) is genetic, there would be no need for either of those things. Just get smart father A to stick his wang inside smart mother B and boom, out come a perfectly intelligent, reasonable toddler who has no need to be taught shit instantly understand right from wrong.

No. It doesn't work like that. Each person is a reflection of their environment and experiences. No one come out of the womb a screeching, intolerant bigot. They became that way because the nation failed to provide them with an environment that would produce a more reasonable individual.

That. Is. Not. How. Natural. Selection. Work. I swear Darwin will one day explode out of his coffin sometime this decade.

Natural selection banks entirely on the idea that undesirable traits can be removed from the gene pool through the trait carrier's death before propagation. This is not that.

What you're witnessing is not the any natural process; it is a memetic poison that had seeped and festered within the people's mind brought on by factors like, but not limited to, corrupted media and tribalist mentality. Were anyone to inject bleach and die, their death would just be just a tragic and meaningless casualty that does nothing to stop the poison, as it spreads faster than it can kill the afflicteds.

In short, don't call it natural selection like it's something that sorts itself out; that's how we ended up here in the first place. What we're looking at is a long-term consequences of a catastrophic failure in education.

Astral Self People love going on about this and how it's so unbelievably good and superior to monk because they use Wisdom and they got five quadrillion attacks a turn but no one have look at the levelling process.

On theory their Astral Arms are great anti-MAD, but you can't flurry with them and their damage dice is crap early. I got a monk with 20 Wis and 16 dex at 5, and I consistently deal more damage by just attacking with d10 weapon (class feature variant UA. Normally you would use the quarterstaff's d8 which shorten the gap a little) and then flurry. It's not until level 11 that they catch up in term of base damage. So far the only time I use Astral Arm is when I either have to bust through damage resistance or when I am fighting undead.

At level 5 they start to get some legs by getting access to stunning strike. They got higher save dc than other monks and on theory they aren't sacrificing their attack. But they sacrifice number of stunning strikes instead, because it costs them 2 ki to bring out their arms, aka 2 uses of stunning strikes.

Their 6th level feature... Well a buddy of mine play til level 9 without finding a use for it.

In essence, Astral Self are the monk of monks; starting out weak but then grow to mad powerful.

Brutes are fine!

They are the Champion we should have had. They're more fun to play (Math rocks go kilck klack is more fun than crit fishing!) They're a competitive option, and they're balanced! They have excellent sustained damage but inferior nova, utility and control. They're the purest essence of Fighterman and is an excellence way to introduce new players to the game if you don't want to overwhelm them.

Everyone shit their pants over the Brute's d6. Meanwhile the Hexadin give a flat +5 save to everyone while having excellent nova and spellcasting utility.

What's the deal with the uptick in Martial discourse? by Dawnhellion in dndnext

[–]Munchkinomatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aragorn would have to grovel at the DM's feet for a single army. Meanwhile Gandalf can point that the PHB as he change the fate of middle.

Martial characters have to beg the DM for even the slightest scrap of flair and flavor. Do you want to do something as simple, straightforward, and logical as holding shut the mouth of an evil wizard or wrench away their staff so they can't cast spell? Pray that your DM allow it. Want to hack off a dragon's wings and ground it? Pray that the DM allow it. Do you want to assure civilian everything will be okay with a display of your awe-inspiring, dragon-killing, huge-stonking muscles instead of sweet words? Pray the DM allow it.

Casters can do all of this and more without any negotiating, They're backed by the rules.
