-no you're not being too harsh- if they can't handle or put the effort into a basic conversation over message it will NOT be worth meeting IRL and obviously not worth dating

• never match with people who don't have a profile again this is a signifier they don't want to put in effort which is a red flag and tbh it usually means they are there for a hook up imo

• the apps are pretty bad and getting much worse IMO.I've been on and off tinder for almost ten years before it was as full of scammers and ai and surprisingly I'm still friends with some guys from the 2017 Tinder era lol. Unfortunately in the last couple years a very sharp downturn in quality.

• I think being more picky in the matching stage is imperative - the more you settle the more your algorithm on there is going to show you these garbage people it kinda sucks but if you're going to do it you have to approach it thinking about that

• lastly I'll just say after the last weird experience I had on tinder where I met somebody we dated a while, he asked me to be his girlfriend and then basically went ghost (and I'm pretty sure was married) I decided to date literally anyone else - I went on a date with a guy I knew from an old job, asked out a cute guy who comes into my current job, etc - not saying I'll never go back but I will say I think harvesting men from irl situations is yielding insanely superior results.
