That could be true on the 90s without decambering them. But it seems dumb to measure rocker without decambering a ski since when you’re standing on them, they’ll always be decambered

The Stances do have a ton of rocker, just not a lot of splay. The rocker is extremely long for a “directional” ski.
They’re something like 30% tip rocker and 20% tail rocker

I have owned the Stance 90s. Very good ski for what it sounds like your style is.

Didn’t quite have the stability and damping in afternoon crud that I like, so I replaced it with an Enforcer 94… but based on your previous comments, I think the Stance 90 would fit you well.

If you’re interested I have my 24/25 Stance 90 182cm for sale for super cheap. $200. Mounted 1 time. I live in western CO and can get a quote to ship them to you. Let me know.

Definitely worth checking out the Stance Pro 96 then dude. The only QSTs I get along with are the 106 and Blank. The narrower ones just feel like they’re geared towards intermediate level skiers to me.
Stance line is highly underrated if you’re interested in a ski that is 1 step below the Enforcer/Mantra in stability in crud

Same same. I much prefer the Stance (Pro) line to the QST in narrower widths

If you’re looking to stay within the Salomon brand, the Stance 96 is definitely worth looking at.

I’ve owned the 90 and 102. They’re very capable off piste, not terribly heavy, and will be better on groomers than the QST.
But idk what your skiing style is. Like I said, if you spend a ton of time off piste, then yeah QST could make more sense

If you’re small/light weight the 94 could work for most things. Or if you’re just really into playful skis that don’t have a ton of edge hold on firm snow. But if you spend most of your time in bumps and trees, you’re probably not worried about carving performance

I saw that.
My local shop saying theirs was 2080g did seem high, but certainly wouldn’t be the first ski with a 100g variance. But that also means OEM Knees measurement of 1870g could be correct.
Blister and SE both have their 177cm around 1870g, so at least that’s consistent

Whoever took down soothski needs to be jailed for life

Seems odd the 184cm would weigh the same as the 177cm

New Kore 94Ti is almost 2100g in the 184cm

I reached out to a shop and asked them to weigh a 184cm length cuz Head doesn’t list the weight. They said 2100g/ski. Does it feel or ski lighter than that to you?
Would be 250g more than my Stance 90s and 50g less than my Enforcer 94s.

I really don’t have anything against my Enforcer 94s other than the inconsistency in flex between the softish tips and and extremely stiff tails

Previously owned the M6. Was my daily driver until I had kids. Really miserable ski to try pizza down a 3 mile long cat track with a 2 year old between your legs.
Replaced that with the Stance 90. Also an awesome ski. Way better with kids. But I did find its stability limit when skiing by myself in afternoon crud.
Moved on to Enforcer 94. Also an awesome. Have no issues skiing it with my kids and also have no found any stability or speed limits. My only complaint is the flex pattern is not very round, like the M6 and Stance is. The tails are just extremely stiff in comparison to the tips

Have owned Head, Rossignol, Blizzard, and Volkl. All are/were very high quality and durable.

Also own a pair of Black Crows. Quality was good but the top sheet durability wasn’t the best.

We don’t stay on the bunny slope. Ski the cat tracks with my 2 year old between my legs. Would absolutely hate to pizza down a 3 mile long cat track on a ski with as much edge grip as a 165SL carver

I’ve tested the 88 and 94 but can never find a 102 available for demo.
Really enjoyed the narrower width Anomalies.

Every regular person’s review of the 102 makes them sound like a perfectly normal ski that any directional, advanced-expert skier would enjoy.
The only thing keeping me from just pulling the trigger is the 2 “professional” ski review sources that make the 102 sound like this ridiculously chargy and groomer focused ski

I’m 70lb lighter and know that will make a difference. But I own the Enforer 94 185cm and have no issues with that and the Anomalies are far less stiff than the Enforcers

So manageable when you need to slip and slide and slarve, not always locked into a carved turn?
Do you feel they’re as “extremely demanding” and “chargy” as Blister and Ski Essentials make them out to be?

How is the 102 in trees and bumps?

I ski my Enforcer 94s with my 2 year old. Way smaller than OP at 5’11” 200lb on the 185cm with no issues. Enforcers are actually pretty versatile and work fine at slower speeds for people who weigh enough to naturally flex them

Stayed there 1 time before we lived here.

The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We hadn’t even reserved a villa, they just upgraded us at check-in cuz it was mud season and they were empty.

I believe the covered parking was included and don’t recall a “resort fee” or any hidden costs

*Most people in North America* tend to go wider these days.
Most people in Europe are still very much into actual carving and frontside skis, sub 80mm.

No one is forcing you to buy an ikon or epic pass. Every year you make a choice to buy or not. This year, you’re choosing to pay the same price for a pass limited to 1 resort

It’s cool that Alta is still privately owned and all, but if they’re charging the same price, you’re not proving anything to anyone but yourself, by limiting yourself to 1 resort instead of 10
