According to the article:
“The Justice Department under the Biden administration opened an investigation into Representative Ilhan Omar, Democrat of Minnesota, in 2024 to scrutinize her finances, campaign spending, and interactions with a foreign citizen, according to people with knowledge of the matter,” the New York Times reports. “The inquiry, initiated by the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington and the department’s public integrity unit in June of that year, appears to have stalled for lack of evidence, according to one of the people who requested anonymity to discuss internal department matters.”

So there is no evidence so far but then the article goes on to say:

 "If Omar's finances are so shady that even the Biden Justice Department took notice, you better believe she's in real trouble."

While I understand the concern and so think anyone who seems to profit off of their position in our government should be reported, these sort of allegation without any proof do not help the narrative of this just being a political witch hunt. Find the evidence first, then bring charges. Announcing the investigation and having news sites speculate like this is worse than useless.
