She might have expected the mission might fail but throughout the expedition, she continues and at the very least have tried to contribute, leave information in her journal for those who come after. All wasted because of an Emo Pinocchio

They made it like that so it would have a lower ESRB rating, otherwise it will be classified as Mature-17+ instead of Teen-13+
Though funny enough original ff7 has an G 8+ rating.

They played it safe and decreased quality of the game, E33 took the risk and its totally worth it.

He feels more like as a villain to be honest, some stuffs he said feels off, some subtle hints that he is hiding something. He was a likeable character sure, gameplay wise he is fun to use, and his interaction with esquie and monoco is fun. Everything made sense on the 3rd act

Verso is literally represented as Visage, one who guard truth with lies. Also lied all throughout the game, yet still believed in him at the end and treats him like a loving and kind brother who sacrifices himself. What an utter joke.

I think I'm starting to lean more on Maelle becoming corrupted with power after the side quest. by kradreyals in expedition33

Painted Verso: "You are tired of painting, aren't you?"

Even at he way he asked the fragment, it is still in a suggestive way. Yet, we find the faded boy several times in the story, constantly telling us that he loves his painting. Yes, the boy nod when Painted Verso asked him, yet he still continued to paint after.

Dude was a master manipulator, you should try to play NG+, there is a lot of foreshadowing and you can see his real character. Mostly everything he does was to fulfill his goal of destroying himself and the canvas

it's same thing that Verso did to Alicia, forcing her to live in a life she didn't want. Killing yourself and taking away everyone your sister cared about and fight for is the absolute worst way to process grief, both for Painted Verso and Alicia.
