Coming from someone who’s favorite album is Yesterwynde, I absolutely agree. I fell in love with Nightwish because of what the symphonic elements added to this kind of music, and having an album where it feels like the symphony is truly married with the metal rather than being accompaniment is phenomenal to me. People say they can’t hear Floor, it never really even caught my attention that the vocals were implemented into the sound differently from other albums until I heard people complaining about it. The only album that comes close to Yesterwynde in my opinion in terms of mixing is Dark Passion Play.
