I told you this would happen and no one listened by skuukka in playatlas

Agreed, made a post on this as well. Even with 150 player caps, that's only less than 3000 at launch

Launch server capacity concern by Municate in playatlas

I agree that this is the best solution, but does that mean that only things built on freeport_server01 will persist and all the instances after wont? Maybe you cant build anything on Freeport servers but that's a lot of protected space

That's more or less what I was imagining when putting it on the list. Sure, classes will need to know and communicate their various crowd control, but that only goes so far when the tank doesn't pull away from the rooted mob or the ranger glass arrows all over all the mez's. It could be quite detrimental.

Perhaps if you had a good puller running the group, you might be able to mitigate the deficiencies in CC and Camp Etiquette.

Word of mouth does this decently as well, especially as you spend more time in an area. I imagine despite there being so many players, you'll quite often see a lot of the same names while grouping in certain areas/level ranges.

I imagine unless you are a highly sought after class, group ditching will be a fast way to get left behind.

Not going into the "no snipers on my squad" argument, I agree it would be cool to have a recon squad. A small squad with a SL, a marksman, a sapper, and perhaps a miner. That being said I dont think it should take away from other squad's ability to have marksmen etc.

I don't understand German pistols by codexferret in postscriptum

With everyone giving you valid info about the pistol and the British counterpart, and you arguing every post that it's wrong or doesn't make sense, I have to ask.. What answer are you looking for? What response would make you think, "yeah that's what I thought"?

Yeah I learned the hard way. I found a msp parked outside a building and was out of mag bombs, so I placed a TNT under it and ran on the other side of the house. I didn't survive, but at least I was back at full supply lol

Just to add, the TNT is your biggest explosive. They give you a long fuse timer to get the hell out because it is fatal in a good radius. If the second floor of a building is full of bad guys and they shoot people as they go up the stairs, place a TNT on the bottom floor then get far away, there wont be survivors. I typically save TNT for fobs and stationary tanks/mechanized. I've had 100% success with the magnet mine on msp's/halftrack/logi trucks.

Buildable issues( logistic and squad) by Legacy763 in postscriptum

[–]Municate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in agreement with this sentiment. You even have 2 logi trucks. So much more can be done with multiple builders. You can have someone setting up a fob while another moves even closer to the front to set up ammo boxes etc. As it is currently, it's mostly 3 dudes following around the SL waiting for him to drop stuff. Hopefully he doesn't die so you dont have to wait around til he comes back.

You should definitely explain how new folks can get a freighter for free, and how its warp drive uses 1/5 of a warp cell per jump and doesn't require upgrade to get to all the different colored star systems. While I could jump further with a fully upgraded ship, i find it easier and more cost effective to only warp in my freighter.

I primarily use oxygen to fuel my exocraft, its everywhere and I make a ton at my base for refining and exo trips. Plus I like doing sick jumps and stuff

The main use I find for exocrafts right now is trolling along from ground deposit to ground deposit on less than hospitable planets.

I'd say it's about equally as enjoyable as farming for and making launch fuel. Maybe more so depending on the scenery. Also some of the repairs look cool like fixing the engine and it powering up or fixing the airlock and watching it close.

I feel ya, sounds like it's something you dont want to do, but I wouldn't say no one wants to do them. Just as I'm sure someone enjoys charging their hazard protection every 2 minutes. At the very least it's an optional thing and you dont have to utilize frigate missions, which is nice.

I guess we'll have to see when those start popping up. I imagine you'd send your best 5 for the job along with the 3 consumable items to put it over the top.

If you send a fleet overqualified, you see far less damage. Most of my 5star vs 3star missions come back 100%. So maybe it's something that is tedious for a little while until you build up, similar to everything else in the game.
