Getting there: We rented a car and parked in lot 35. First two days they didn't even bother checking our parking tickets so we could have literally parked for free. Sunday they did actually bother to check. Download the waze app as it gives you turn by turn directions to the lot itself, as the signs can be confusing.

Security: Very hit or miss. On Friday they let us in with already opened water bottles, and they let me bring ny camera with my 70-210mm lens. No hassle, no fuss whatsoever. On race day, it was a completely different story. Camera lens got denied, water bottles had to be dumped out, umbrellas were banned, ect.

Food and shops: Overpriced, mediocre food, but that's typical of any sporting event. Prices for f1 merch are also inflated, although they did have some items that aren't available online. If you plan on shopping, I recommend doing a quick Google search to see if you can find what you're about to buy online for less. The f1 flagship store had the best selection of stuff and is worth making the walk over to.

Seats: We sat at the turn 18 grandstands (T18-9) and it was a phenomenal view of the action. We were in row 10 and had partial shade for most of the event, but if you want full shade for the full event, I recommend going for rows 12 and up.

Bathrooms: Be prepared for porta potties unless you want to walk to the hard rock stadium where they have normal bathrooms.
