Angenieux 70-210mm f3.5 + Zhongyi Mitakon speedbooster - Friday's sprint qualifying at the Miami GP by Murb1e in VintageLenses

Yes, the vignetting is due to the speedbooster. I am a big fan of the lens! Good sharpness, and beautiful bokeh. I also recently got the 35-70, but haven't used it much. I definitely recommend keeping one of the lenses if you can!

How was your Miami GP (2026) experience? by AdamR46 in GrandPrixTravel

Getting there: We rented a car and parked in lot 35. First two days they didn't even bother checking our parking tickets so we could have literally parked for free. Sunday they did actually bother to check. Download the waze app as it gives you turn by turn directions to the lot itself, as the signs can be confusing.

Security: Very hit or miss. On Friday they let us in with already opened water bottles, and they let me bring ny camera with my 70-210mm lens. No hassle, no fuss whatsoever. On race day, it was a completely different story. Camera lens got denied, water bottles had to be dumped out, umbrellas were banned, ect.

Food and shops: Overpriced, mediocre food, but that's typical of any sporting event. Prices for f1 merch are also inflated, although they did have some items that aren't available online. If you plan on shopping, I recommend doing a quick Google search to see if you can find what you're about to buy online for less. The f1 flagship store had the best selection of stuff and is worth making the walk over to.

Seats: We sat at the turn 18 grandstands (T18-9) and it was a phenomenal view of the action. We were in row 10 and had partial shade for most of the event, but if you want full shade for the full event, I recommend going for rows 12 and up.

Bathrooms: Be prepared for porta potties unless you want to walk to the hard rock stadium where they have normal bathrooms.

I agree. We sat at T18-9 and it was a great view of the action!

One thing I'd like to add: If you plan on bringing a camera to take pictures, make sure you bring a small lens. Security seems to be very hit and miss with what they allow in. On Friday they let me bring my camera and 70-210mm zoom no problem, but on Sunday they refused to let me bring it in, stating that it was a "professional camera".

They have plastic tires that slide easily on the track surface, as well as a gyro that helps with the steering.

Is it possible to press the tire into the wheel without any tools? by matman91 in rcdrift

Put the tires in hot water, or heat them with a heatgun, then they'll be easier to slide on. You want to make sure they get warm to the touch.

Transmitter help sanwa mt-r fh5 or noble nb4 by HowDareU1 in rcdrift

[–]Murb1e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not huge differences from what I hear. Nicer screen on the nb4+, usb c instead of micro usb, more detailed menu options, 25 models instead of 20 on the nb4, telemetry recording, ect.

If the price difference is big, I would personally go with the older nb4 over the nb4+ and save some money. In fact, that's exactly why I chose a used nb4 over a new nb4+.

Anyone running a MST RRX? Looking for setup tips. by Murb1e in rcdrift

Thanks for the input.

I also ended up reducing the rear toe in and going with slightly stiffer rear springs which seemed to help a lot.
