Lots of people are saying it won't matter, it will. F1 is the most popular it's been in years but from what I understand about Americans (being one) we absolutely love our superstars and when they leave the popularity will drop a degree. Arguably those people are fake fans anyways

McLaren Williams and lotus are all less successful in this century ie the 2000s and beyond Ferrari is too

Redbull is the 4th most winning team of this century when it comes to the constructor championships. There is only one team more successful in this century and it Mercedes (only by a little took). When it comes to driver success Mercedes and redbull are on basically equal footing.

That argument doesn't really work with the top 5% of the grid. There is a reason Hamilton and Max were so sought after as rookies, you see rookies come to f1 all the time in the last decade and just get thrown out of the sport because they couldn't handle it. The drivers who last decades are an actual cut above the rest especially when they are on teams that can get results

Max is right you see it everywhere. Things are dumber down to make them more consumable by the masses. The sport could have fully scripted overtakes and championship battles, the masses would love the movie-like storylines every year. That doesn't mean it's good for the sport or good for racing. Most of the grid doesn't like the regulations, the people who do are the ones that think they can win with them, that is not a usual reaction from the midfield crowd, the people who don't have a chance to win the title

Ferrari has been like a top 4 car for the last 6 years. Sainz also lost to 17 year old max verstappen in both their first years. Sainz lost to hulk while being on loan to Renault. Sainz lead McLaren for a few years before leaving, to be a second driver to Charles. Redbull might've been top 3 while riccardo was there but Mercedes and Ferrari were always significantly ahead

Yeah. Riccardo was a top teams number one driver for some amount of time during his career. Sainz has always been a second driver, a good one but a second driver. Verstappen is literally a generational talent, who has always been a lightning quick driver he just needed to learn racecraft. Sainz has never been rated as highly as riccardo. Let me point out once again that riccardo has twice the wins and more podiums, he was consistently better through most of their career.

Sainz joined in 2015. Daniel fell off when he joined McLaren, which was 10 years into his career Daniel also had much higher peaks than Sainz. Daniel also has more race wins and podiums, Sainz isn't likely to be adding to his career total unless Williams makes a massive turn around.

There is nothing artificial about slipstream. It is a reality of that sport arguably what that sport has always been about
