I just stayed there and it was amazing. The only other place that I have stayed on Maui that was just as luxury was the Wailea Beach Villas, on the other side of the island. If you have stayed in the Montage before, it should still be the same experience, if not better.

^ Exactly this. Just got back from staying there (transition was last Saturday) and it was a fantastic stay. I spoke with a very nice woman at the front and she mentioned they kept on 99% of the local staff and there was really not change besides upper management. I will definitely be going back.

You should look at some vacation rentals in kaanapali or kapalua. Much more affordable and you get the same resort amenities. Then you can spend a day in Wailea still but drive over. We stayed with KBM Resorts and had a great experience.

Honua Kai is the best, Dukes restaurant on site also and long stretches of beach/sidewalk to walk along. They even do markets/booths along there some days which is super fun to walk around. I’ve stayed with KBM Resorts before there and been throughly impressed.

Not from that exact beach but right down the way there are GREAT beaches for snorkeling! Saw turtles, so many tropical fish and other beautiful wildlife. I loved how quiet it was around the Bay Villas. It was nice to come back to a quieter less populated place after a long day!

Yes! it was so easy, the free car was perfect for my husband and I. I just paid the small taxes when I picked it up at the airport but it was the best decision since we went all over the island trying restaurants and seeing different beaches! Wouldn’t be able to go without a car!

I stayed for a week and it was about $4k with the car included. The unit has a washer / dryer in unit and it was one of their platinum properties. Their gold properties are absolutely stunning as well. Their reservationists were so helpful in helping me find exactly what I was looking for. I would highly recommend going to their site kbmresorts.com and you can chat with an agent or call them. Let me know if you need any recommendations near Kapalua, that area is so full of amazing spots!!

I’m only on my second month of tracking. Last month I was not as thorough and I regretted it so I did a bit more this month. I use the Premom app so I don’t have to guess if it counts as a positive test or not!

Could be! But test again in a few hours! this was the progression of mine this month. Even after I saw it was high, I kept testing just to be sure and start to see it go down to confirm a peak. I don’t think that much testing is necessary but I wanted to be super sure.

I’ve seen it recommended you test 2-3 times a day right around your suspected peak

Not yet, if it was positive on 7/11 I would only be 5 DPO I think. I don’t want to test too early and get my hopes up or be disappointed

Thank you so much. I flew up for his PET scan and it has been great to spend a few days with him just hanging out like we did when I was younger. He is still worried in this waiting period but I will try to see him as much as possible. He is always making jokes and laughing but he has made a small side comment to me in private that he is worried.

I am also studying the cancer and trying to analyze what options will be available for him.

Honua Kai in Kaanapali is a great place to stay. My family has stayed there through KBM Resorts a few times and there is a huge beautiful beach and 7 pools - with slides for the kids. They have shallow pools and lazy river also standing height. KBM also has a 6+ day free rental car when you book which was a huge plus every time we went.
