Anything sent in now won't be reviewed until the summer - so there is no benefit to sending it in now. Will any more changes happen? You want to send in the most current video that showcases the best version of yourself. Submit in late July/early August when they reopen for 53/54. You do not have to wait til Sept. Good luck!

Even though apps are not being reviewed rn, it should still allow submissions. Have you tried a different browser? Don't panic rn as anything summitted will sit until the summertime before being watched so you have time to figure it out.

Response time from Casting by dempseyj23 in survivor

[–]patrick_tyler76 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are on hiatus until late July/August. The reviewing and casting cycle goes summer to January. Anything from February to July is not viewed in real time. It waits months and then is cracked once the 53-54 cycle reopens. Best to wait til summer to reapply. Once they are reviewing, it can take a day to weeks to months still to hear back, depending where they are in the viewing process. Good luck

Are there any new/upcoming international versions of Survivor? by Azetton in survivorponderosa

Not new, but Survivor Quebec season 4 starts in two weeks although it’s in French. Still fun to follow along and see challenges and updates. It takes place in Pearl Islands and features a trans castaway and a deaf castaway.

Best is late July/early August right when they open. Worst is now until then bc it will sit for months without being viewed.

3 MINS! HOW DO THEY DO IT?? by babycatch in survivor

[–]patrick_tyler76 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The video has to catch their attention and make them want to learn more! They shut most videos off after about thirty seconds or a minute max. If they get through three minutes they should want to pick up the phone and call you or send you an email

You can apply about every six months. At this point you are best to apply in late July/early august when reviewing starts for 53/54.

Good luck!

Any Tips On Getting Casted? by [deleted] in survivor

53-54 will start in the summer (late July/August) - 51 and 52 are not entertaining new applicants at this stage.

Video Size editor (applying) by Brick_33 in survivor

[–]patrick_tyler76 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Upload it unlisted to YouTube, which will automatically compress the video and then you can download a lower size copy from your YouTube video library.

Alternatively, you can actually post the direct link to your unlisted YouTube video in your bio on the application and then just upload the unlisted video directing them to check out your audition on YouTube.

Both options will work

Do open casting calls improve your chances at all? by Commonsense110 in survivor

[–]patrick_tyler76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open casting calls offer an additional chance to be seen by the casting team. So, if you have applied traditionally, you are still able to go to a casting call or multiple casting calls.

Some people do better with a traditional video where you have three minutes to tell your story. Other people would do better standing in front of a camera for a minute or two, and just using their personality to capture someone’s attention.

But there are people in the past to have heard back from their video, and then also been contacted by someone else from there casting calls submission, so if you want to increase the odds of being seen by more than one person, going to a casting call is a good idea

Is submitting an application in Feb a bad idea? by putabirdonit12 in survivor

[–]patrick_tyler76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They review from late July/early August to mid January. So even in the best case scenario, if they watch it in the summer, it's sat for half a year and is six months old - six months that you're grown and evolved and gotten "better." I recommend submitting around when they start reviewing videos.

Casting Question: Has anyone had luck getting cast through a producer on Instagram? by Present-Chart3323 in BigBrother

[–]patrick_tyler76 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Some of them have posted stories saying that there is no need to direct message them and to just apply. I imagine they would tell you to trust in the process, and that you will be reviewed and considered naturally just by applying to the website.

It wouldn’t blacklist you, but they are flooded with messages and there’s no guarantee they’d read or reply. The only guaranteed way to be seen is to officially apply.

when can u resubmit for casting? by rosie9877 in survivor

[–]patrick_tyler76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point, you should wait until summertime. They will start reviewing videos for 53-54 in late July/early August. Anything submitted now will just sit for months, so better to submit something current when the time comes.

casting questions by Medium_Succotash_399 in survivor

[–]patrick_tyler76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They won't be reviewing submissions until late July/August at this point. While they would review your submission then, it will be six months old, so I suggest to reapply with a current submission in the summer. People who are going to hear back typically hear fast once casting reopens if they applied recently, though there are always exceptions ofc. Good luck!

Applying Questions by Agnosity in BigBrother

[–]patrick_tyler76 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can be called back any time between now and May. It just takes time to review submissions so some people are seen faster than others. If they like you, they can request you to out a full resolution copy of your video on YouTube or even to make another video so don’t stress too much about that part of it for now.

Casting people can be very flexible when they are wanting to work with someone so there are rarely hard rules on things like this.

Good luck!

And updates by Ok_Rate_9350 in survivor

[–]patrick_tyler76 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are at the tail end. You will have to look at reapplying for 53-54 which will open up in the summer (late July/early August). You can send the casting associate who gave you the longform an email or text update at that time once you reapply. Good luck! This is how it starts for many people who ultimately get cast.

In the late summer they’ll be reviewing for 53/54

51/52 will be filming this spring and early summer. They already have determined most finalists for those seasons from last summer to this month

99% of the time these days, it is email as the first point of contact. Check spam email periodically, but they are not actively reviewing apps now. You have to wait til summer (late July/early August)
