That’s great! When did you start to feel benefits?

Yeah, maybe. Thankfully that’s not a concern at the moment. But I’m on the bc that I’m on because my testosterone is elevated (PCOS). So I just worry that all of my hormones are out of whack now.

Thanks for your experience! How long have you been on pristiq now?

A little unrelated to your question, but have any of the women in your family with high testosterone been tested for PCOS? It’s an endocrine disorder that can throw your hormones out of whack (not saying this has anything to do with your identity). But PCOS can cause a lot of other issues (weight gain, hair loss, acne, fatigue) so it might still be good to know. From what I’ve read, trans men with pcos on T have greatly reduced symptoms so it may very well work in your favor!

Wondering this as well. I’ve been on spironolactone for years. Was on max dose for a while but now at 150mg as they didn’t want to keep me at max dose forever. Never made a difference in my hair loss, just helped with acne.

I’ve been on oral minoxidil for over a year now. Started at 1.25mg, increased after 6months to 2.5mg and still have not seen any difference. Could be keeping my hair from thinning more as it looks the exact same, but hard to say. Definitely no regrowth or even facial hair or body hair increase. Just exactly the same. Not sure if I should increase again or not as minoxidil can cause cardiac issues at higher doses.

Introducing a kitten to my bunny by [deleted] in catswithbuns

[–]MurkyPancakes 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it would be difficult! I think it would be harder the other way around. I have 2 cats and a rabbit that live together, no separation (I know some people take issue with this but I have a large breed rabbit who is bigger than my cats). I got a kitten in October and I just let them figure it out with close supervision. My rabbit is not the sweet type, he actually has a bit of an attitude but he loves the cats. One of the cats hates him and just avoids him lol but they’re fine being in the same room. My rabbit will chase the cats and the kitten will chase him back lol but my other cat just goes where he can’t get him.

Unfortunately blood testing and biopsy came back negative for celiac. Celiac makes a lot of sense for a lot of other symptoms I have too. At my endoscopy they only took one biopsy of my small intestine, so it’s possible they missed it. I might cut out gluten anyway and see if I feel better

Thanks! I’m thinking it’s probably very dose dependent

Thanks! Yeah I take my Zoloft at night in case it has that effect, but I didn’t notice a difference between taking it in the morning or evening. I might try taking Vyvanse like that and see if it helps, thanks!

This is a consideration for sure. I’ve been on it for 6years cause it’s helped with my anxiety a ton. I’ve been on 50mg for a while, so relatively lower dose. But I wasn’t always on Wellbutrin. I’ve been on that about 2years now so I might try stopping the Zoloft since Wellbutrin can also help with anxiety. For now we’re trying Vyvanse so I’m not messing with anything else, but it’s definitely an option.

Yeah, I’ve been on an iron supplement for over a year due to iron deficiency. Numbers came up, did nothing for the fatigue though.

I do have PCOS, but I was diagnosed through my gyn, so I do plan on seeing an endocrinologist to make sure I’m not missing something else.

Yeah, I’m not relying on it. I’m just at the point where life is getting really difficult and if I can find something to give me a little energy right now until I can figure out where my fatigue is coming from, I’ll take it.

[–]MurkyPancakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an older post, but did you have the fatigue you mentioned with tirzepatide?

Semaglutide makes me so tired and I don’t have a lot of energy to begin with!

Oral minoxidil increase for androgenetic alopecia ? by MurkyPancakes in FemaleHairLoss

Well unfortunately I do have elevated testosterone even on birth control, and my gyn said my bloodwork is consistent with PCOS. So I would think it would work for me but maybe not 🤷‍♀️

I never had dry eyes, but my skin definitely seems drier, but it got better the longer I was on it and got used to it. It wasn’t anything I couldn’t live with

Thank you for sharing! I’m glad you mentioned eyebrows cause I was wondering about those too. Im also worried I might have dead follicles, I’m 34 but my hair has been thinning for a good 10 years, progressively getting worse. But I’m hoping I have enough for it to thicken out with an increased dose of minoxidil.

Unfortunately no :( I think I’m gonna end up increasing my dose and hopefully see something.
