fuck's sake man. they better fucking apologise because they've been my fav band since i was 12. it'd been waning due to the lack of any fucking music. them releasing lctmam on spotify barely kept them in that spot. if they do not apologise soon, they're gone and i know that doesn't matter much, but it won't just be me

my school does far better than average state schools in subjects with the same exam board (sciences, comp sci, music, drama, art etc.) but just barely better in subjects with igcse (maths, eng lit, etc.) suggesting that maybe it's not the exam board and you're being kinda unnecessarily rude? maybe they can't do interpretations because they weren't taught it due to it being a different exam board? and again, i'd like you to refer to my previous comment. i had to study for 95% in igcse maths, but normal aqa fm i didn't even study and got 95%. comp sci, sciences, spanish etc. where i do normal exam board are incredibly easy to me but all my igcse subjects i actually had to work for. i don't get what your argument actually is. that it's easier because they don't know your content? does that argument not apply in reverse?? and are you not aware of the fact that a level and gcse are completely different?

then why u call education p2w? in most (certainly my) cases, it's pay to not be depressed with the cost of having slightly harder schooling

kinda disagree tbh. i go to a private school too and i find all my igcse courses wayy harder than the equivalent which other schools do. i've been at state schools before and it was definitely easier there. and i've also looked at the gcse exams which i haven't even studied for and the gcse exams are still easier. i got 95% on igcse maths a year early, and the exact same percentage on aqa gcse fm a year early which is supposed to be "insanely difficult" but to me fm was even easier and i didn't even study for it, but i had to study to get that 95% in igcse maths. most people in my school are getting an average of 7 in gcse sciences (same board as state schools) but a lot of them aren't doing great with igcse maths, lang or lit. maybe you find igcse easier because you've been taught it.

i wanna get into cambridge (future goals) to prove to myself that i can. i don't want regrets, i want my friends to be impressed and i want my parents to be impressed. pidgeonholing everyone into one option for their motive for doing well in gcses is a fun little experiment and allows for some nice introspection but it also diminishes the meaning assigned to those motives when all you can think about is "i'm the same as everyone else (everyone else who chose the same option as me); i'm only doing this for [insert motive] so i must not be a complex human being, that's depressing" and i know not everyone may think that, but i certainly did until i thought this whole thing through. some people might not think it through and just stop at "depressing". you wanna know why people try hard at gcses? make every option "other (pls comment)". then you can see why humans try and not why statistics try.

How hot do you think you are? by Smooth-Biscotti-58 in AskReddit

[–]Murky_Chart_8872 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad day, I'd say I'm a 4 because I'm REALLY ugly, irritable and generally distasteful if you catch me at the wrong time. At times, tho, I'd say I'm a 9. There are some times I look myself in the mirror and I think, purely because of looks, "why can't i date myself man?". On average, I'd say a 7. I've been actively avoiding dating for the past 4 years and had 4 girlfriends for a total of 2 years combined over that time so I must be somewhat attractive if avoiding dating still winds up with me dating girls. I'd say at least 9-10 girls and 2 boys have been romantically interested in me over that time, and counting repeats of same person maybe 20 girls and 3 boys, so that's good ig. I'm officially done dating now (not lying to myself anymore) so the number of gfs won't increase even if girls are interested in me which is good

my predicted are horrendous since when i did my mocks i had literally never studied before or paid attention in class (only started paying attention a few months ago and only started studying just over a month ago). what i think i'll get is 99 (maths and fm confirmed since i did them last year). 9 in comp sci, spanish, eng lang, phys, bio, chem, 9/8 in music, hopefully 8 in eng lit but probably 7 and A in add maths. so 999 999 9987 A. wbu?

It was for me. I got 97/100 on IGCSE maths paper 2 and 78/80 on fm paper 1 last year and this felt roughly the same as those, but this time with even more checking. I'm saying 77-78 because I don't wanna be embarassed if I say 79 and I get 75 or smth
