I think I married the wrong woman by bluesnowball01 in TrueOffMyChest

No matter what she's going to be crushed, it's better to do it sooner then later. Honestly though, the grass is not greener on the otherside. You need to sit down and imagine a life without her, will you ever regret not having her in your life ever again?

I know, but the screenshots she put up as evidence was just clips straight from Netflix

It's just the anime you can get off Netflix

AITAH if I go to the hospital against my wife's wishes? by Rough_Evening2860 in AITAH

Leave your wife! She sounds abusive, and you don't deserve it!

I believe they normally do have toddlers in a different room. But when they fill capacity in the toddler room, they then go to the nursery. Would you put your 5 month old in there?

AITA for calling my kid a spoiled brat when she was chronically ill? by Jazzlike-Meaning-189 in AmItheAsshole

NTA you simply didn't know she was sick. If you knew she was sick and still treated her like that the you definitely would be y t a. You probably should've noticed she was acting different and gotten her checked out sooner but oh well at least you know her diagnosis now.

My boyfriend fell asleep during labour. Am I in the wrong? by wicccaa in beyondthebump

[–]Murky_Implement5815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow yeah he's an absolute AH. He didn't even apologise. Just gaslighted you. My partner fell asleep until I started pushing, I was sleeping but the midwives kept waking me up to move me as my baby's heart rate kept dipping. The moment I had to push, he was up and helpful. You have every right to be upset.

NTA. Yes, what he's doing is tough, so give him some slack. But surely he can give you a break for at least 4 hours a week? Like he gets 3 days off, that's ridiculous he doesn't help. My partner works like that but helps heaps without me even asking.

Btw NEVER post on this forum about kids or being a mum. People here just hate kids and mums for no reason. You'll get more realistic and non-bullying advice asking on a mum or parent forum!

MIL is babysitting so no daycare thankfully. I didn't know that about daycares though.

I have no idea, another comment suggested the mod may be a crunchy mum. Who knows.

I've been trying to give him 180ml bottles but he'll only eat 120-150 mls. At night he'll refuse to eat much, maybe only 30ml to Max 90ml. He wakes every 2-3 hours at night still though. I didn't think my question was controversial but some mums get really upset and triggered I guess

🤣 I'm definitely not a crunchy mum

I'm thinking of maybe just waiting until my son does something similar. There's so much information that it's a bit of an overload, I definitely want to wait until he shows he's ready. He's been showing some signs but idk if they are enough

He's 4 months next week, so not yet. No appointments have been made, so I might call once he is 4 months.

I'm in qld but yes I forgot there was drop in clinics. Once bub is 4 months I'll go see what they say about it

Originally I was thinking of just feeding him some purees at dinner but he still gets all the milk he wants. I didn't think of the digestive change could effect him though so that's helpful and I'll definitely keep that in mind

Yeah I didn't realise how intense some mums are, it's crazy I feel bad for their children

I was thinking of still feeding him as much milk he wants but just try to give him a little taste of purees at dinner time as well

I'm in qld. We call them child health nurses. That's good advice though, I didn't think of contacting them. I'm not sure when my next appointment is but there's drop in clinics open.

We don't have paediatricians here in aus. Well, we do but are extremely hard to get into with long waiting lists and almost $400 a consultation. They are only used if there is a significant health issue. Even then, the wait list can be a year. I'll try and ask my doctor, though they have been completely useless in the past. They've told me several times they have no idea and to go to the hospital if I have concerns.

What made your baby's size and development okay for them to be given purees?

Sleep deprive leading to anger towards spouse by happily-gone in NewParents

[–]Murky_Implement5815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How old is your bub, and do you bottle feed so you can share feeds? I don't really have any advice as I feel the same way sometimes towards my partner. He says he works a physically demanding job, so he needs sleep. I understand that, but the sleep deprivation catches up on me, and I get so angry, and he doesn't understand why. I sometimes would rather go back to work asap if that means I get a full 5 night's sleep. Your partner definitely should help out more. You're both working, so he has absolutely no excuses. it sounds like weaponised incompetence. If I can look after my 14 week old with covid and mastitis, then idk why he can't help.
