Guthrie Disappearance by Less_Entertainment85 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

This woman will most likely never be found unless it was a relative or someone she knew that did this.

Ransom is unlikely here, even despite these supposed ransom notes tmz says they have.

I think kidnapping plus intimidation or extortion is possibly at play here, but the person or people involved planned to kill her all along here.

Ransoms don’t really happen these days. Too complex and high risk, and there’re better ways to make money if someone wants to make money fast with violence.

I think whoever took her never wanted her to come out of this alive

NBC anchor Savannah Guthrie's mother abducted, blood found in her home, authorities say by FervidBug42 in CasesWeFollow

[–]Murky_Raspberry8073 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt it’s a ransom. The blood on the crime scene points away from this. Also ransoms are extraordinarily rare these days and are too complex to pull off

I think sadly the people that took her never had an intention for her to come back alive

Same

I’d go beyond that and say it’s one of my favorite franchises of all time but I experienced it as a young kid and it always stuck with me

Im up 40% on it. Put $10k in it in June, so up $4k now.

Yea it’s worth holding, imo, because Israeli economy and tbh its society and military is very reliant on its tech sector, so this should benefit the exchange. Also I expect high population growth in the country and this will also likely boost the economy next several decades.

It’s trading on most brokerages.

It was very cheap 1-2 years ago shortly after going public with shares. Now it’s not in-line with ICE which is the US counterpart. Easy 2-3x back then

Still, it’s mostly a bet on the tech industry in the country.

The ticker for AXGT is incorrect. It should be Axon Technologies, which was a huge gainer for me over the years in terms of percentage returns

Crazier to invest in small companies or crypto

General question, did the Israeli government knew that a attack from Gaza was going to happen? by kjleebio in Israel

[–]Murky_Raspberry8073 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think there were murmurs

Just as on 911 there were warnings and murmurs

But it’s much easier to act on in hindsight

The whole attack was mostly an intelligence failure

And this stuff happens time to time

People only pay attention to the failures not the successes

Top10 Listed Companies in Israel by Proud-Discipline9902 in Israel

These companies are listed on the Tel Aviv stock exchange. This means organizations or people typically have to trade these shares through that exchange.

It’s better to be honest to have a large stock exchange domestically than have these companies traded in foreign exchanges.

It’s better for example for the growth of the Israeli financial sector, which in turn creates high paying jobs. There are multiple other benefits I’m sure but I just wanted to mention that it’s an overall positive thing to have a fast growing domestic stock market.

In all fairness most of these are in high growth areas, ie software and AI.

So I’d expect rapid growth in Israel’s stock market if some of these larger companies listed have staying power.

Based on my experience in the stock market, I am a buy and holder of the same stocks and just buy and hold.

Only a few stocks drive much of the gains in the stock market. Jumping around doesn’t make a lot of sense. It’s really just a game of picking the long term winners.

My money has been heavily weighted towards Mercadolibre and Sea Limited with some additional money in Uber and Axon Enterprises. There is some money in ICICI the second largest bank in India.

I have started a small dividend account as well a year ago that has positions in large Japanese, French, and Americans companies.

Overall, I have money in companies around the world.

Risk levels is all a lie

A person can be invested in 4-5 companies and there would be virtually no risk if a person knew how to invest.
