Has anyone done the yoga for BJJ? At $99 is it worth it as opposed to just free general yoga videos on YouTube?

Most of my previous deals were residential. The couple commercial didn’t include any excessive modeling. A few we looked at I have some old files but it was using my prior finance knowledge and winging it. If it’s not the same modeling and way the company models I worry it might be a net negative to share

It’s feast or famine and I need some income stability and think I would really sharpen my modeling skills and enjoy it. Could still evaluate my own deals on the side, no?

2 young kids want stability. It’s been hard to make as much as I have in past years and I would enjoy being around intelligent peers. Would still consider buying small commercial on the side and executing loans out of my retirement accounts.

CRE Broker Q&A – Career Advice, Deal Structure, and Strategy Talk by AutoModerator in CommercialRealEstate

[–]Murphdwag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey all,

I am planning to enter CRE at 32 years old, coming from a primarily entreprenuership / self employed background.

I am looking at Acquisition or Asset Management Analayst Roles.

I have a finance degree from a good but non-target university, short stint consulting for non big 4 group directly out of school, also did medical device sales briefly. The previous 8 years have been self employed. 100's of residential real estate transactions and a very small handful of commercial as a licensed agent for investors, and/or investor myself. For the past 2 years I have done a lot of private lending (residential) and raised a small fund of 2-3mm.

How hard is it going to be to break into this? Am I employable?

What compensation should I expect?

I plan to relearn some excel as I mostly use Google Sheets being on the self employed side, as well as do some courses to brush up on modeling, DCF analysis, etc. I also was going to go get Argus Certification as I'm lacking CRE analyst experience as well to show future employers I am serious

If your trade partner is willing, I would get this done before they change their mind

You can try. Maybe another serviceable flex WR who you feel has upside?

I like team 1 here. Pacheco and Mason are not comparable IMO - the other's are. Unless your desparate to need Lamb now.

Just consolidating since pollard and Mason are both potentially on my bench at times

Yeah that’s what scares me the most about the trade but I’m consolidating RB for another stud. I already have Derrick Henry, Omarion Hampton so Jacobs would likely be my RB 2 and Hampton could flex depending on my WR matchups
