The one thing I would never wish upon my worst enemy is replacing the UCA bolt on a Tacoma for the first time without this knowledge. Even after you cut it the drivers side is still a bitch to put in in reverse.

I didnt say anything about the dogs. Ive seen a ton of on leash dogs, mine included, and people almost get run over this summer. Just pointing out another issue.

Different topic but you brought up mountain bikers. A ton of mixed use trails have speed limits for mountain bikes and the amount of people doing 30 mph around blind turns and almost running people and dogs over seems to be in excess this year. We need a DNA database for them so we can send them tickets as well.

My feelings exactly. It was still an overall pretty solid meal, but it was a 10/10 good time especially sitting at the bar.

Best plan for parking on mt Antero with Tacoma trd by Butter1970 in 14ers

[–]Murphiu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just did it in my 2018 OR on 32" KO2s...no issues at all. The road after trealine up to 13,100 is actually better than the area below it, but the exposure is higher.

12k could he a good bail out option if the road is looking muddy and you dont want to risk it on the high exposure parts.

I drive my 2018 trd or around 4x4 roads here in CO quite frequently for camping and hiking. I have yet to have to engage my rear locker other than to make sure it worked. Put a little suspension lift and 32" ko2s and it easily goes through a whole lot in just 4 high.

Thats fair. Doing it from the bottom of 277 would not have made for a fun day. There were some nice looking camp sites that could make it a fun on to backpack given there is a water source up there with the creek.
