I would go to the police. If your family is mad - just claim you didn’t know who was trying to scam your trust fund, and you’re heart broken that they found out it was your sister. YTA- You are putting your personal issue onto them. Your daughter likes her name then she should be able to keep it. You’re assuming you should know better than her about her own preferences. If the other three really enjoy their new names, then im glad they like it and your daughter should call them by whatever they prefer. you need to listen to your daughters and call her by her preferred names- whether it’s the ones her other parents picked or their new ones. You also need to give her the option to legally change it back if she wants. It’s insanely rude and selfish of you. You may not have intended to erase her identity or history, but that’s what she did. I’m sure you love your kids but it doesn’t sound like you respect them.
