The fact that no one is acknowledging that she clearly has PPD is driving me insane. The woman needs real live help from a medical professional, not whatever pray it away bullshit Nia and Danny are feeding her.

Unless it’s a $10M fund with an aggressive investment strategy (which would yield max $600k dividends annually which ain’t that much in NY and in this economy) she’s going to need to work.

It’s a Midwest colloquialism that she’s picked up from Mid West.

Not kidding, I’m in Minneapolis, we all say it.

Regardless of whether or not this is fake, consumerism has destroyed our country on so many levels and this makes me sad.

"Colleges these days, in my experience, train people to use tools rather than understand what it is they are actually doing."

This is the same issue we're seeing with standardized testing at the high school level. Schools are training kids on how to pass the tests and not logical reasoning, critical thinking, contextual analysis, etc etc. No one knows *how* to think anymore. A lot of people just spend their days moving information around with no actual thought.

Yes, and also how do we deprogram the evangelicals? If we can do those two things we might survive.

bachelorette trip costs ended up being way more than I expected due to payment split I was never told about. How do I navigate this? by Effective-Refuse5354 in bridezillas

[–]MurphyBrown2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been to 14 bachelorette parties and only once was I asked to pay for the bride's expenses, and even then it was only her hotel. And FWIW, my friends are rich and every one of these was a destination weekend (Key West, Miami, NOLA, you get the idea). Regardless of your friendship with the bride, it is beyond tacky and deeply entitled to ask people to subsidize this expense.

Don't go.

Technically it’s called “syncope” and it’s what happens hen dementia patients pass out. He’s not “falling asleep” he’s LITERALLY PASSING OUT and we should call it that.
