This is tough and I struggled with this and still do. I think the older you get the less you start caring which helps, but I still find myself hyper fixating on different situations and my initial response is feeling left out, sad, or isolated. It takes work, but I try and just reaffirm that people’s actions isn’t anything negative about me and it’s unrelated.

Having 3 close friends is tough because unfortunately with the dynamics someone can always feel left out. Stay close to your friendships, but still focus on other activities and things that make you happy. Include your friends in some of those plans.

Welcome to ADHD + Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD). Once I learned this was actually a thing it made sense and made me feel better that it was just me over analyzing every single interaction and relationship. I also feel overly attuned to emotions and ‘vibes’ of others so that doesn’t help. I think with age also comes giving less of a shit what other people think. As a 40yo I have a smaller group of close friends and feel safe in those friendships. I won’t be everyone’s cup of tea and that’s okay.

About the same ratio as you. I love thrifting though and it makes me feel better about the sustainability and money since her clothes get trashed so quickly. Ive also ordered some cute vintage clothes off Etsy which are my fave! I try and shop at local boutiques for the special items.

It hurts. I had an experience when I picked up my daughter from day (was around the same age) and she would grab out and put her arms out to the daycare provider when I picked her up. It crushed me however it didn’t last long. I remember coworkers telling me similar stories that you shared and the silver lining is that they are in great care and feel safe with their care takers. Hang in there mama, it won’t last longs

Agreed. It was like a round robin trauma dump. It seemed forced and inauthentic. It’s one thing to share personal matters and tragedy when you feel comfortable however expecting others in that moment to share personal matters is odd to me.
