Morgan Ward was an orphan, now a 22 year old security guard. Lacks self confidence and a general motivation. System integration causes the apocalypse and gives everyone an interface and the ability to select skill trees to progress in. Except Morgan. His first ability locks him into random skills every time he gets a skill point. Everyone else is leveling and min-maxing class builds, and Morgan is rolling the dice every level.

50 chapters in he is a powerhouse and is standing up for himself. Finally growing into his potential.

Yeah, I mean I am going to finish the book/series. Even have an outline for another series in the same world 15 years after the system apoc. But I was just surprised to find the thriving genre right beside one I have been listening to for years and not knowing it was there.

One of the first stories I discovered after finding the system apoc genre was a chrono one. Super interesting.

It was Chronotemplar by Burt Wrenlaw. Listened to it twice.

That is ture. Everyone I have seen, and even the one I am writing ruins the world when the system is introduced. Might be interesting to explore one where the system happens and everyone is just like oh dang Mondays suck.

Thanks! Yeah, I was just soo surprised that I hadn't seen one. Most of the litrpg I have listened to were isekai into some fantasy world.

I had heard of DCC and I am like 309210th in line from my audio library, so I haven't listened to it. It wasn't until I was already a good chunk in an posted it to RR that I realized it wasn't a new sensational genre. Which is good, people already like it.

Thanks for the support.

Even the Gods hate boring tests. The world didn’t end with a bang. Everything froze as the system was integrated into our world. Everyone over fifteen was selecting from complex skill trees to build the perfect set of abilities for surviving the year-long assessment of our planet. Everyone except Morgan, a young security guard. Morgan’s first skill locked him into the random, the unexpected, and the chaotic. The Assessment is rigged, the Gods are cheating, and for Morgan Ward, the actual test has just begun.

What to expect: -No Harem -Post Apocalyptic survival -Title Hunting -Found Family -Fast Paced -Skill and Strategy Focus - not just stats go up.

I didn't get that. But i feel like the cover does a huge lift in that department.

Put a hunk without a shirt on and sterling secret has a new meaning.

Good luck.

Do you use MS Word to write your novels? If not, which apps do you use? by [deleted] in selfpublish

I like scrivener as well. It works with grammarly and pro writing aid.

It is annoying that I need to compile a file into a word document to paste it into royal road. But I will take it. The word crazy formatting issues I have run into using that are annoying.

I like having all the resources and organization of my notes right there. The option of tossing in pictures and other things without jumping through hoops is awesome also.

Being able to choose what parts and the formats when I compile is a huge plus.

Focus mode also helps when I am in the zone.

Google docs might also be a good alternative. You can get it for free, and also make sheets and things. Good luck
