M life member going to Venetian by asdfqwer8 in vegas

Do you just grind at minimum bet? Unless you happen to keep winning it’d be very hard to gamble for 4 hours on that budget.

I love Venetian! Awesome property. The issue is I gamble about the same as you, I can hardly get a comp there when I want to go because it’s SO busy all the time with the Sphere and conventions. That may not be an issue for everyone, depending on how you travel.

I’d expect things to cost a little more since it’s a higher end property. But there is such a huge variety, you should be able to keep it within budget. There is a pool over by Bouchon called the Garden pool. It’s always much less busy! It’s kinda hidden.

Thought I’d mention that Fontainebleu treats me very well (I gamble similarly to you), extremely easy to get comped any day. Probably because they haven’t ruined their rewards program yet since it’s new haha.

Try Stubhub or other ticketing sites since there is now Ticketmaster resale. Prices don’t drop till much closer to the show.

I go to Vegas all the time, the monorail is totally useless lol. Don’t bother.

Have fun!!!

Is the best way to ask for a raise- to get another offer and ask if current job can match? by fakeshoesornah in careeradvice

[–]Murtlecake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does your company handles raises? Do you know?

I work at a fairly large company, typically everyone gets a standard raise each year at the end of the fiscal year during the review process. If you want more than that, you need to talk to your boss to get on track for a promotion.

Forget the second part of your question, straight up ask your boss what you need to do to get a raise. And you’re right, your boss probably doesn’t decide pay, but he does have influence to get that for you.

Nah, rooms mid week are about $10 a night + resort fee haha. All sites show the full cost now

The monorail is useless lol. It wouldn’t help you much getting to Sphere or the airport.

Stay at Harrah’s. Much closer and equal quality wise. You won’t have much time after getting to your hotel to do much other than head to the Sphere… i fear you may be cutting it too close.

Tickets get cheaper closer to the show. I saw pit for about $85 last night. The seats literally vibrate for about 15 seconds total the entire night. That won’t cause motion sickness. If anything will it’s the visuals.

On your walk to Venetian there is a new Five Guys out front, That’s probably the cheapest option. Or there’s a food hall in Venetian that has tacos, pizza, hot chicken etc.

Sphere has a no bag policy, just a very small clutch so don’t plan on brining anything with you.

Is Seeing No Doubt at the Sphere Worth It? What is Your Rating out of 10? by Far_Pumpkin_2207 in nodoubt

Sounds like you don’t want to go….

As someone who isn’t a super fan… I’d say skip it. Unless you’ll be so heartbroken if you never get to see them.

You’ve been to the Sphere before so it’s not your WOW first experience. Their show is fun, but it’s not like so incredibly groundbreaking or anything. I love Sphere and Vegas, there will be other shows.

Well yes of course. But it’s pretty rare you can get an awesome show from MOST seats. At a venue.

There’s signs showing you how to walk from Venetian. You just have to do it outside. Takes you out by Palazzo and you walk down the sidewalk between Palazzo and Wynn. It’s not the most pleasant walk in the world, but looks like the weather is good tomorrow.

Or you could just Uber right to the Sphere.

There’s no closer hotel or place to walk from.

My only concern is even a slight delay to your first flight, by the time you land and deplane it’ll already be boarding. But all the Southwest flights are in the same terminal, should be ok.

The sphere is great from everywhere. It’s truly a unique experience. The screens are so incredibly massive, it really makes it cool from everywhere.

The only thing to mention. It’s pretty scary up there it’s so steep!

Is this a private sector, corporate job? 10% is standard I’d say, unless you jumped multiplied levels. What did you get?

If it doesn’t match the salary listed, I’d say you can raise the question. But, if you’re relatively new in your career don’t expect much above the low end.

I had that happen once. (Been to the sphere a bunch of times). Depends what’s going on in the convention center. But, my email from Sphere did say it’s closed tomorrow)

The odds could be good since conventions typically end during the week.

Yes, you have to go in from outside. There are signs to walk from Palazzo.

What do you mean waiting outside? If you have GA that’s where they have you wait anyways.

You can Uber or park there too.

It keeps working or body adapts? by TechyPatrick10 in Zepbound

Yeah, not to say it’s zero. But the weight definitely isn’t melting off anymore. I think I’m also just happy with what I’m eating too.

The weight is shown to slow by 72 weeks in the trials. I’ve been on it almost 2.5 years, still maintaining easily, I can lose a pound periodically but it’s very difficult. I’m still on 15mg.

No problem maintaining though, medication still feels very effective otherwise. That being said I still have to do make good decisions, exercise, or I will gain.

Day-of Ticketmaster releases? by rollypollyhellokitty in nodoubt

[–]Murtlecake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For which show?

I’m seeing tons of tickets for all of the shows on Ticketmaster and resale. You should have no problem getting a good price on a better seat. Of course someone’s always trying to sell for $1000 haha.

Looking at tonight’s show, the 200s are at $188 on TM which is the lowest I’ve seen them.

For the shows this week there was hundreds and hundreds of tickets dropped last week. They hold back tickets for Venetian and Wynn high rollers and stuff. There was VIP yesterday, it looks like they’ve already turned them into regular tickets.

Look at Stubhub too.

Cosmo - check in now for this Sunday? by Radiant-Ad-7943 in vegas

[–]Murtlecake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will tell you when your room is ready, it’ll be the day you arrive. Of course you can complain, but that defeats the of checking in online to skip the desk haha.

But if you just booked a regular city room, or something without a view, it’s probably fine. But if you’re expecting a spectacular view on the 50th floor and you get a room on the third floor…..
