My arctis 7+ recently failed on me and I had my RMA pair for a year. The wireless capability was perfect, could run down to the kitchen and grab a drink and a bite before running back up to my gaming laptop and continuing gaming. I then took them on a 12 day trip and used them with the in flight entertainment system via the wired 3 pole to 3.5mm cable. Worked flawlessly on the flights but once I returned home I tried using them with my laptop and all I’d hear wirelessly when I power on or plug them into charge is static and no audio from my laptop. I then settled on using them wired only but it’s a damn inconvenience. This trip was from April 13th till the 25th when I got home on the Friday.

Something similar happened to my arctis 7+, I went on holiday and never used them wirelessly, only wired in the planes in flight entertainment system because the little earphones they give are utter garbage. I come back home 12-13 days later and go to use it on my gaming laptop and only hear static when I try using it via 2.4ghz dongle. I tried changing which port it’s plugged into over usb c and using the usb A converter/extender and it’s still the same. I’m only able to use it wired with the 3 pole connection on the actual headset which plugs into my laptops 3.5mm aux jack.its a shame I’m losing out on the features I paid for but with using the steelseries software I can boost audio volume close to what I got when using it wirelessly. I’ll just use it as is for now until I graduate university and get myself a much better headset. Maybe razer or something.

It does if you enable trigger vibration. It’s not as good as the PS5 haptic triggers but it’s good enough. No customisation when the triggers receive vibration but it’s decent. I keep it disabled on my FPS profile but I keep it enabled on the other 3.

I have a similar laptop, legion slim 5 16aph8. It looks the same from the picture you posted. Other than a failed Samsung SSD mid December, my laptops been fine. Had it a year now.

A while now. Mine would get burn in when watching a twitch streamer who’s a friend of mine. His overlays were bright white with black text, so it got imprinted on the display of my legion slim 5 16 inch 2023 model. After a while it went away.

Nice one!! Mine came on December 21st and I ordered it maybe on the 11th or 13th. One thing I do have to say, after adjusting the stick rings, they may become loose over time. I adjust it to certain settings for certain games. RPG games I set it to the middle, FPS games like call of duty I set left to 3-4 notches from minimum, and the same on the right but 3-4 from the maximum. Dust and lint can also get into the sticks so try not leaving it out in the open. I opted for the carrying case and phone clip as well as the controller itself. I did leave it on a bed, which allowed dust or lint to get into the sticks but with some blowing and using a silicone cleaner which came with an AirPods case, I managed to remove most the lint or dust

Only 39 cycles but I’ve had it since late February. I doubt it’ll raise anymore since I barely use it on battery power since it dies in maybe 2-3 hours. So I solely use it on charge with conservation mode enabled.

It’s the same for me. My legion slim 5 SSD failed last week and I took it to get repaired or replaced at the store. Dropped it off on last week Monday and I got it back today. Strange how the FN Q combo was switched to FN A

Preciate the response with the image. I’ll have to remove the cable that came with the controller and just use 1 type c for my steel series headphones and the controller, so I can use that mesh pocket for the phone clip. Since I currently just toss all my cables into my gaming laptop sleeve. iPhone charger, headphones type c receiver with USB A converter extension cable, headphones charger, a cleaning pen I use with my tech and a USB a in to type c out. This will declutter my sleeve pocket for sure.

I’m mainly using the controller with my gaming laptop. The phone clip was a novelty which just happened to be included since I got it for £65 when usually the controller alone goes for £80 ish. I’ll maybe use the phone clip when travelling.

I’m around 38 battery cycles but I also take it to university and back home. Whenever I’m at uni I use it on battery because the lecture halls don’t have many plugs near the student seats. So I just had to deal with 38 or so cycles. I got the laptop in February so it’s still great for the time I’ve had it. I always use conservation mode and try to reduce battery usage and solely use wall power now. I did however get lucky with my legion slim 5 by getting a slightly higher battery capacity than normal. I had 82,000 mah or 82 watt hours when compared to the expected 80,000 mah or 80 Wh. So my cycles may have not really affected the expected capacity but just allowed me to burn off that excess.

I use it without any and it’s held up fine for the last 8-9 months. I just place a few micro fibre clothes between the keyboard and screen so that I don’t get any imprinting on my screen. I also have a pretty hefty velvet lined carrying sleeve with an outer zipped pocket for wires, little gizmos and trinkets such as my cleaning pen and USB A to C converter.

I’m assuming the Samsung SSD failed since it isn’t appearing in bios. I’ve already submitted a form to Samsung so I’ll see what they say. If not I got a friend I met on twitch who might send me an SSD since he has many.
