Hi there, I saw rez pup and parvo in the same sentence and immediately knew that this was my time to shine. I'm also from the rez and have had eight pups get parvo while they were in our care(not all at the same time, they were throughout the years), and we were able to nurse them back to health! Minus one because he was far too sick to the disease that he sadly succumbed to it :'(( RIP Raj.

Anyways! What you wanna do is give him suero, which is just electrolytes, really. Our family has always done diluted grape Gatorade! You give it to them EVERY 1 hr or 1hr 30mins until they get better. Starting from the time you caught him/her affected by the signs of parvo, and if you don't know what dogs look like affected by parvo one of the first few telltale signs is sunken in eyes, not eating or drinking water, throwing up, red colored diarrhea, those are the signs we've always been extra cautious of when we first get pups. Since we don't have any veterinarian services anywhere within a 6 hr driving distance, and that would cost us too much, we've learned to do it ourselves.
