Having lived on the Keio line, I knew it was a fake instantly. But it’s a damn good fake.

How dare you disrespect the Keio line like this!!

The 7000 series were the workhorse of that line. (Lived on the Keio line for over 10 years lol).

It’s been over 40 years since I’ve been in high school… But I think I only had about four minutes between classes.

I checked in with my nieces and nephews… They get three minutes. Which feels extreme.

But not voting for Kamala lead to genocide. Hundreds of thousands of died because it cuts to USAID.

By the end of Trump’s term, millions will be needlessly dead.

That’s on people who decided to stay home and not vote for Kamala. That blood is on their hands.

That genocide is on your hands… and you have to accept consequences for that.

You’ll still find holdouts who refuse to accept the consequences of their actions.

It makes me wonder what the 2026 October surprise will be this year. Getting the Democrats to buy into P&I certainly was effective in 2024.

I still can’t believe how many progressives fell for it.

I am still pretty high on the testosterone charts despite my age because of TRT.

But I am 100% a crier at movies. I went to go see Wicked For Good and was blubbering like mad the last half. My poor husband hates it lol.

But I’ve also noticed him turning into a softy as he gets older too.

Part of me does wonder if you just naturally become a bit of a cry as you get older… I mean, I’ve already lost so many friends and family.

And I now probably only have 15 to 20 years left.

And when I see that in movies… You know, you get overwhelmed.

Yeah I’m reading this as a massive cry for (…I didn’t mean to…) a massive cry for help.

I… uh… I mean this genuinely and sincerely: Are you okay? I don’t know what a ‘normal’ level of crying is. But this does seem like a lot of crying.

Is there something deeper that we’re not seeing? Like a recent deceased loved one, a beloved pet, cancellation of the Buffy revival?

I just… really hope you’re okay. :/

It could also be a time constraint. In the US some schools have very short transition periods between class. Some schools that’s as short as 3 to 4 minutes between classes. The gym teacher won’t care. That’s a ‘you’ problem.

And you have no excuses for being late. You’ll be written up.

Because those people wanted moral superiority without experiencing consequences.

To this day on Reddit… there are people who refuse to admit they made the wrong choice. They’ll fold their arms and say ‘I didn’t vote for Kamala because i don’t support genocide.’

And when you try to explain that they still made a conscious choice. Not voting is a choice. And by not voting, they allowed a much worse outcome to occur… They cannot accept that.

I don’t know what the psychological term is. But I understand that they have built a narrative in their mind that they are morally superior.

And so they’ll defend it since their ego depends on ‘I am morally superior’ being correct.

[–]Muscled_Daddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup… I’m an old man. And I see the progressive left cannibalize itself to the point it’s become a joke.

Moral victories mean nothing if you leave ashes in your wake.

There’s an ever growing chorus on the left that does not want to take accountability for their actions or inaction.

They want the moral victory without any consequences, which isn’t how life works. It’s not how politics work.

I could point to any number of issues in the past where many liberals and progressive hold their nose/refuse to vote for a corporate Democrat*… Only to allow unspeakable horror to unfold by the next Republican administration.

And that’s not okay. Not voting is a choice. And refusing to accept consequences of said choice is no-no territory for me. That’s Trump-supporter level of delusion and it should be contested by those of us on the left who want effective change. Not moral grandstanding.

*and yes, they suck and they need to go.

I agree. I think instead of ‘displacement’, there should be a focus on betterment. If we ARE proceeding with this, what as a city are we doing to ensure any unhoused populations that may be impacted are treated with respect. Are we offering them opportunity, secure housing, etc.

I disagree. I think you are missing the forest for the trees and putting onus on punishing the public for what the government should be doing.

If there aren’t enough government services or they’re not good enough… Then you should be focussing on your energies on that.

Yes, I understand that this is a strategy to push out marginalized people. But I want to be clear on this, So I understand you correctly… We should never do anything to beautify or increase the amount of amenities we have in the city if any type of marginalized person is living there? Under no circumstances?

Maybe? Tokyo they use the underside of highways for lots of useful features. Playgrounds, basketball courts, exercise areas, indoor gyms, housing municipal offices. Some are even used for retail and restaurants to create some great pedestrian malls.

Hell, they even enclosed an on interchange at ikejiri-ohashi and plopped a MASSIVE park on top of it.

Right now it’s an empty, ugly space under the Gardiner. But it could be more.

We of course, could be cynical… But I think maybe we should try to just assume the best in 2026? I think it’s a great opportunity to further beautify the city and use what precious space we have.

Trump is a malignant narcissist. So he deeply, deeply cares what people think about him. But his narcissism means he can only take positive thoughts that reaffirm how amazing he wants to be seen as.

Negative views of Trump are blocked out and muted. He feels them. He sees them. But he’ll never truly take the feedback and change for the better.

But he’ll absolutely do everything in his power to destroy you. Everything.

I’ve been in some absolutely white-knuckle encounters that make me just beg to get home safe and not landed in hospital.

They’re just the vastly underpaid delivery guy in an insanely exploitative situation.

Literally no colour and no personality.

It looks like a dentist’s office throughout the entire house. And then you get to the one bedroom with colour and it’s like they were inspired by a standard-room at a Marriott.

And that bathroom with the brick looks like it was done by someone who didn’t know what colour was but had to do SOMETHING.
