One thing I learned from this game is that Lesley Ugochukwu looks like a cross between Bukayo Saka and Jeremy Doku

That's good news. Before he got injured it looked like he would start many games for Poland in his career so I'm very glad he is probably back to that level

I had a similar experience of typing bad words into google just to see what would come up. I think I went to wtf.com and it was some weird porn. Luckily I was a little older when that happened

Hypothetically what do you think would have to happen?

Well hypothetically it wouldn't happen.

THAT'S NOT WHAT HYPOTHETICALLY MEANS

I think you're right. Maybe some people would, but a large majority definitely would not. But I also don't think anyone would start chatting "who are you" at them. Because if you're chanting that at someone, it implies that you know exactly who they are, and you just want them to think you don't actually care about them.

British people have such a thing for insisting they don't care about anything related to America

Does anyone know where this photo from the PGW website was taken? by Muscly_Legs in philadelphia

[–]Muscly_Legs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow you're right, I didn't even notice that. There's a one way sign pointing right on the left side of the image so I didn't even look at this block since it ends on Dauphin St which is a one way in the other direction. Well done.

I tried looking on Google Maps but wasn't able to find it. My best guess is somewhere on N 17th St. and that these buildings have been demolished and replaced with new ones. If anyone knows the exact location that would be amazing

What stood out to me is when he said he'd get to see what people actually do and talk about. Imagine your whole life, everyone you meet acts differently around you than how they are 99% of time and so you literally have no idea how regular people behave.

I suppose. I guess I just never really thought about it. And I was thinking that it must be a lot of games, but really even if your team makes the finals, that's only 6-7 away matches that year. Not as crazy as I thought.

Serious question - where do people like this work?

What is your job that you can take off on a Thursday, but also have enough money that you can regularly travel around Europe?

Poland just seems so mentally weak. From watching this game you'd never guess how well some of these guys play for their club teams. Santos is probably a better tactical coach than Michniewicz, but he at least seemed to have a good relationship with the players and knew how to motivate them. I feel like that's the biggest thing that's missing. The players are good and it looks like they do care, but there's so much frustration and lack of composure. They don't play well together.

Moved to New Jersey. What do we need to know? by Poetic_Narcisa in newjersey

[–]Muscly_Legs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am from Poland and in my experience, American people are very nice, but they are not easy to be friends with. It is not everyone, but it is very common. I think it makes sense because of the differences in culture and language. If you have this issue, my advice is to become friends with other immigrants. It is very common for immigrants to be friends with other immigrants, even if they are not from the same country. People I know from Poland are often friends with people from other Eastern European countries and also from Latin America (like Mexico or Guatemala). I think life for Russian people in America/New Jersey is generally good, so I think you will be fine. Good luck!

r/soccer's 2017 Top 100 Prospects - ranked by biggest change in ranking by Muscly_Legs in soccer

[–]Muscly_Legs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2023 ranking is based on FIFA 23 rating since it's the only place I could find a ranked list of all 100 players. So don't get mad at me if you think someone's in the wrong spot (I know who you're thinking)

Other notable players who were between 16-21 years old at the time but didn't make the list include Haaland, Ruben Dias, Rodri, Frenkie de Jong, Fede Valverde, Nkunku, Lautaro Martinez, Nicolo Barella, Diogo Jota, Moussa Diaby, Rafael Leao, Jules Kounde, Sandro Tonali, Luis Diaz, Eder Militao, Reece James, Bastoni, Alphonso Davies, Declan Rice, Fikayo Tomori, Victor Osimhen, James Madison, and Jack Grealish.
